Wonderful Experience 10/9/2006

I was very surprised with the great experience I had. It is really hidden away and would never have known about it if it weren't for a friend's recommendation. The private little courtyard was beautiful, complete with a fountain and Italian background music. The food was great (ask for the oil dip with your bread!) and the deserts were even better. Our server was really sweet as well. Definitely recommend this place. more

Not Authentic and just not that good 3/28/2006

Perhaps I'm too picky when it comes to Italian food but Little Italy is just the type of restaurant you would expect to find in a strip mall. The food is alright, the dining room is always empty and the wait staff disappears for long periods of time. The tomato sauce which should be supreme at an Italian restaurant is some of the worst I have tasted and even the free bread they put on the table is not good, unless you like cold dinner rolls. Their deserts are slightly better than dinner, I recommend the cannoli but the entrées are "generic, americanized" Italian food not authentic Italian more

Cute little restaurant with big flavor 3/22/2006

I love Little Italy. Tucked away in the courtyard next to Winn Dixie, you can almost completely miss this little gem. If not for the great food, I'm sure this place would have disappeared years ago. You can dine outside in a shaded courtyard, or take the party inside. The food here is good and inexpensive ranging from $6-8 for lunch and $8-12 for dinner. The portions are hearty and filling and the service is good. This is a nice place for a quick lunch, casual date, or just a good meal with friends/family. more

there are actually italian people working here.... 3/19/2006

in this very strange new Orleans style courtyard... that you would never notice if you weren't looking for it, as it oddly located next to the winn dixie, are street signs and lights that say bourbon street, and other big easy reminiscent names, and a bunch of offices, and this quaint and lovely little Italian restaurant. there is 'courtyard' dining, (in the strange fake courtyard, but better than facing the parking lot...) the food is great, the service is nice, this might be my favorite Italian restaurant. I like to get the chicken marsala or a calzone, the bread was delicious, ask for some vinegar.... bon appetite! more

Best Italian in Tallahassee 8/2/2005

Little Italy Restaurant and Lounge is definately the best Italian food in Tallahassee. They offer a variety of dishes, everything from pizza and calzones to veal marsala and chicken caccitorre. Outdoor courtyard dining is available everynight, with live entertainment on weekend nights. A very nice place for a date. Also offers a full pickup menu. Daily specials and homemade soups. Highly recommended. more
