Similar to Kay Tay, I had LCLS look at my 95 Explorer front end in preparation for alignment with new tires. Their suspension tech recommended a new steering rack and other bits. I ended up taking the truck to Salmon's Service up the street, who confirmed my suspicion that the parts were only worn (180k miles), not worn out. The tire guy at the desk was friendly enough while waiting, but the suspension tech is bad news, like Kay reported. more

Tried to rip me off. Just had a new rack n pinion put into my vehicle and drove to Les schweb's to get my car aligned. Les schwab told me that the rack n pinion was the wrong part for my car and the tie rods were bad. when I showed up the grease in the tie rods were clean like they popped them out of place just then to sell me on the sale and when questioned more they denied saying it was the wrong part and said it was installed wrong. They wouldn't do the alignment that I had come in there for unless I paid them to tear out the new part I Had JUST had put in and replace it. Not only did they try to damage my tie rods to sell me a sale AND tell me the rack n Pinion was bad but they quoted me 600 dollars more then I had just had to pay the other place! The added alignment shoulda been 100 dollars more AT MOST! I will never go back for anything and I will NEVER suggest this place to ANYONE more

Ripped me off - burned me by breaking all 4 hubcaps 6/6/2010

I bought 4 new near the top of the line tires for my Toyota Corolla, having just traveled round trip to Guadalajara Mexico.\r \r In Guadalajara I had my hubcaps attached with screws and wire so they wouldn't be stolen. \r \r Lake City Les Schwab broke off ALL FOUR HUBCAPS - it required real effort to brake them all - then they claimed they didn't do it! They think customers are idiots!\r \r Refused to either replace the hubcaps or pay me the approx. $100 each to replace the Toyota brand hubcaps.\r \r My best friend came back with me to ask them politely AGAIN to be honest and pay me or replace the hubcaps but they refused.\r \r We left - PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE RIPOFF PEOPLE on LAKE CITY. Les Schwabs are generally good but these owners in LAKE CITY SUCK!!!\r \r So now I drive around with no hubcaps and a broken one in the trunk so I can show people what they did. What JERKS. Pros: too expensive of tires - shop around - don't go here Cons: Broke all my hubcaps by force and lied about it more

Gold Standard for Products and Honest Service 2/17/2010

I bought my tires at this store in January 2003 and not only have the tires performed incredibly well (and are still in great shape), but the service since my purchase has been over the top. My sister (who lives in LA) even makes fun of me for gushing about this place, even before what happened today.\r \r I had a flat tire this morning, called them up, and requested that they come to my house to put the spare on. I was quoted a reasonable price for them to come out and do this service and I said OK. The guy comes out and within minutes the spare is on and we are on our way to the store (which is luckily close by).\r \r Within 5 minutes of me showing up, they tell me that the valve was leaking, that they have replaced it, and that they have looked at all my other tires and they are fine too. So I happily walk up to the counter to pay and the guy who came to my house waved me off and told me there was NO CHARGE!! I was so shocked I just mumbled ""you guys are awesome"" and walked out. \r \r And today is not the only day that they have demonstrated great service. My repair shop lately has been trying to get me to buy new tires since mine are ""old"" so I got a second opinion at the Lake City store and they said my tires have probably years left of wear. They have NEVER tried to sell me items or services that I don't need. They just provide honest service that always exceeds my expectations. Pros: Everything more

The best! 1/10/2009

During the snow storm in 2008, I bought some new SUV tires Toyo HT from Les Schawb on Lake City. I called and got availability and pricing right on the phone. I went in a 7:30 am on a Sat morning and was out the door in one hour!\r \r The price quoted was actually higher than my final bill. I found them to be friendly, fast and honest. I would highly recommend them. My tires are correctly balanced and ride like a gem! Pros: Great service and product! Cons: No cons more

Waited Forever 7/18/2008

I went there for brake service and waited for 3 hours for them to fix my rear brakes. During that time, about 20 people came in after me and left before me. I will never go there to that specific Les Schwab again. more

Best service anywhere on Lake City Way! 4/16/2008

I had my studs pulled the day before and when I woke I went straight to the freeway. I did not realize my left front tire had gone flat overnight. By going straight to high speeds I quickly destroyed my tire. I presented the disheveled mess to them and explained my situation. They replaced my tire free of charge no questions asked. It turned a devastating day into a better one. Thank you Les Schwab.\r \r Israel Anderson Pros: Great quality and professional care. Cons: you pay a bit more but the customer service is worth it. more

great service, good product, knowledgable staff - can get really busy 4/12/2007

I am truly sceptical of places that advertise heavily so I was pretty cynical on my first visit to a Les Schwab to possibly buy tires. They earned the chance at my business when they repaired a flat tire for free in the middle of nowhere Oregon last summer - turns out it's a company policy no matter where you bought your tires. I was price shopping and was not surprised when they recommended their most expensive tires for my Subaru AWD wagon. At that time, they came with a no questions asked 30 day guarantee if I didn't like them - for any reason! Salesperson knew her product and claimed they had yet to ever have a set returned at their store under the return policy. We were leaving for Wyoming in a few days with 2 kayaks on the roof and 2 weeks of camping gear in the back so I figured what better way to test them out - loved them! I figure I've worn out a lot of tires in my 3 decades of driving and these really are great tires, road or snow and I wouldn't have even thought about buying them without the company's standing behind their product. The service was great, they were really busy that morning but I was still in and out in 45 minutes. Highly recommended. Cons: can get really busy, call ahead to check the wait time more
