Bakery 3/1/2010

We've enjoyed their pastries since we arrived to Houston 15 years ago, when their location was near I-10 and El Yucatan Restaurant. Whether French or not, they have the best pastries in town; we drive to their location from near the Katy Mills Mall. Their service has been great through out the years. Pros: Fresh and tasty pastries Cons: Distance from my home more

Great Cakes and French Pastries 10/19/2009

Everything they have is just great. I always buy birthday cakes for family and friends there, because they are always a hit. Good croissants, chicken and beef empanadas, great assortment of cookies. I love their merengue. They have good coffee and cappuccino. I always give good referrals for their great taste in cakes for special occasions. We just had a large tres leches cake for an office party that was the best I ever had which made the event a success. Pros: Delicious Bakery Cons: Just a little higher than the grocery store, but worth it. more

Food good, service BAD 3/7/2009

This is the only French Restaurant I know that is owned by a spanish speaking family. The food is good, but the menu is very boring (mostly sandwiches and pastries.) My problem is not with the food, it's with the service. I went in today and was blatantly ignored by the granny that controls the front counter. She looked at me and chose to wait on a spanish speaking customer who had just walked up. I had been waiting in line for a few minutes at that point and was tempted to just turn and leave, but I was hungry and in a hurry. Several people I know have said she charges them different prices on the same item, depending on the mood she is in, and they've stopped going. I will never go again. I gave them a change, and they blew it. Do not go if you are not hispanic. You will be treated like a nuisance. Pros: Food is fresh Cons: Service is poor more
