So happy I found this place! 7/13/2009

I normally don't waste my time writing reviews, but I feel that I HAVE to give feedback on this salon. I am so happy I found out about this place! My boyfriend and I are going to Vegas in 5 days and decided we should get a tan before we go. We googled tanning and Le Beach came up. I was skeptical about going because it looks so beautiful from the pictures and I was afraid it would be way too expensive! To my surprise, it is so affordable! We got a great deal through their offer of $29 unlimited tanning and buy one get one free mystic for $35. And not only that, we couldn't print the coupons at home so the girl at the front desk was so sweet to tell us she'll take care of it for us! The salon is so clean, and from the minute you step foot in the door, you feel like a VIP with their undivided attention and helpful advise! In a time where customer service is almost non-existent, it is such a breath of fresh air to deal with the staff they have at Le Beach! They are truly an asset to the Salon! Pros: great deals, warm/friendly staff Cons: none! more

packages/contract SCAM 6/21/2009

I had been a ""member"" of Le Beach Club (Beverly Blvd) for years, just paying a monthly fee until they said they weren't offering it anymore and that I had to buy a package deal or single tans. That's where they pulled the scam. You buy packages with a certain amount of tans, but what they don't tell you is that they expire. The manager said that you buy a membership, and memberships expire after a year. The package I bought said 20 tans, with no indication of expiration, since there was a specific number.....long story short, I moved away for 6 months, didn't use the tans and they ""expired"". The manager said that he would give me back the tans I had ALREADY PURCHASED if I would buy more. Let me see, buy more when I had already have 10 tans left? On top of it, he could not provide any signature or proof that I agreed (signed) any contract stating they expire. I called a couple times and he wouldnt get back to me. I LOST OUT ON HALF OF MY ""PACKAGE DEAL"" or about $125. THERE ARE A LOT OF OPTIONS OUT THERE, I WOULD SUGGEST GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE WHERE THEY ARE MORE PROFESSIONAL AND HONOR WHAT YOU PURCHASED. more

Before Le Beach, I went to this other place that wasnt so good. The knowledgable staff specifically create tanning packages that work with your skin type. Now I'm tan and beautiful...glistening like the sun! more

Best Manager 11/20/2008

I've recently moved and was so bummed that there wasn't a Le Beach Club near my new house. I was especially bummed because the people at LBC on Robertson were always so nice to me. Within 3 visits they knew my name and seemed to remember everything I ever chatted with them about. They do sell, that's for sure, and being in sales myself, the last thing I wanted was to be pitched. But I told the manager there, in a nice way, and ever since then, no one has tried to hard sell me a thing. I almost started missing it! Regardless of a person's financial situation, if people are nice enough to you and make you feel important, you will buy into it. I think the manager and his people have caught on to this and I thought it was important to say so.\r Oh and PS! The Mystic there is AMAZING! Very natural and not smelly! Pros: One-on-one consultations Cons: Parking more

TAN ANYWHERE ELSE!!! 7/30/2008

UPDATE 5/13/11 All these 5-star reviews are obviously employees/managers spamming the site to falsely boost the overall rating of this horrible place. Trust me, saying Tiffany the manager is a wonderful person is absurd nonsense, and a giveaway that they (she?) are spamming this listing big time. There's a reason I came back to write this after 3 years, and that's because I don't want anyone else to get ripped off by these crooks. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS PLACE! I was a long-time customer of theirs and put up with the overpriced packages, as this place is really close to my home. However, they tried to pull the same scam on me that has been mentioned in other reviews: claiming my sessions had ""expired,"" even though when I purchased the sessions I specifically asked if they ever expire and was told no. The manager tried to claim ""We never issue packages that don't expire after a year. It says so on the receipt you were issued at the time of purchase."" Unfortunately for her, I had my accountant pull the receipt and brought it in to prove her to be LYING. Even with physical proof, she would only ""recredit"" me for these sessions if I bought another package. I was stuck so I had to play along, but find such deceitful business practices to be border-line-fraud. Also, as mentioned in other reviews, they are CONSTANTLY selling new packages to you, no matter how many sessions you still have remaining; in a way that reminds me of the worst kind of telemarketer. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! Pros: The interior is nice, but... Cons: ...the staff is PUSHY and their business practices are ""highly questionable."" more

Best beds anywhere! 5/12/2008

Le Beach is wonderful! Great rates, great beds that tan you faster than other salons, and great customer service. Everyone is so friendly! I've been to other salons and I've felt like they didn't care I was there-Le Beach cares! Pros: Service, equipment more

Best Quality. Friendly Service 5/4/2008

This place is top-notch. The manager, Tiffany, always greets me by name & lets me know the great options they have....(like part tanning bed, part spray on) & she keeps the salon immaculate! I love how she always gets me and makes EVERYONE feel like a V.I.P! more

I Am Tan! 5/3/2008

Before Le Beach, I was convinced that I couldn't get a tan. The knowledgable staff (David) specifically create tanning packages that work with your skin type. Now I'm tan and beautiful...glistening like the sun!\r \r -Sean Pros: Knowledable staff more

Best in the Business 5/3/2008

In a sea of hundreds of tanning salons, this is the best in LA. Front desk staff is extremely friendly, especially the manager, and helpful- you always walk out looking like you just spent a weekend in St. Barts!!! I never feel like I am being ""pushed"" into buying a package, and the deals seem very reasonable! Would highly recommend this salon if you're looking for a natural, gorgeous tan, and friendly service. Pros: Friendly service, helpful staff, gorgeous tan! more

Clean and Friendly! 5/3/2008

walked in the other day after not tanning for a couple years. my sessions had expired, but they included those back on another package along with a few sessions on the big expensive bed and a product to make up for it. really friendly, helpful staff. super open inside, beds really clean, really beautiful inside. im paying maybe a couple dollars more per session, but at least im not wiping down my own bed. remember the manager from last time i was in there, really sweet blonde. love the guy who helped me out, too. a really great no-nonsense tanning place. Pros: Beautiful salon, Great beds Cons: Out of the way, parking attendant is crazy more

Front Desk Girls rock! 5/1/2008

Great beds & the girls at the front desk are awesome. You definitely get what you pay for & this place you get a good, not fake looking tan. The blond (Tiffany?) hooked me up. I recommend the ""cocktail""(half tanning bed & then a spray on!) Pros: Quality tan, Friendly, Knowledgable Manager Cons: finding parking in rush hour more

Best tanning salon in LA 5/1/2008

I used to live in Manhattan Beach and drive all the way to the Robertson location just because I thought the staff was very friendly at LeBeach Club and I did not think they were pushy at all! Obviously not everyone has a great experience and sometimes people don't get what they want, but I would recommend this salon over all of the others in the Los Angeles market. They have all the latest & greatest equipment and tanning products that you will ever need. The manager, Tiffany, at this location is one of the funniest and friendliest people I've ever come across in the retail market. You should definitely try LeBeach Club before any of the others in town. Pros: Service, ambience Cons: parking, traffic to get to the location more

Loyal Le Beach Club Client 4/26/2008

I've been tanning at Le Beach club for about ten years now. They have definitely come a long way, let me tell you. With all the new, cheaper salons opening in the area, they have kept up with new tanning technology, new services/products, and made sure the salon stays high class. Although they're prices have gone up since I started, the girls there do their best to get their loyal customers the best deal they can get. I have friends that tan elsewhere (Sunset, Starlight) and Le Beach has by far the most experienced staff and the best beds. The girls really dont get pushy with me about buying more or new packages because they know me, but I do no they were on commission and that they can get pushy. I talked to a gal when I was in the other day and she said they're not on commission anymore... maybe that will help not scare away customers that feel pressured. If you are a tanner and you want the best go to Le Beach. It is a little pricey, but they have some cheaper beds and an unlimited bed. The girls are super friendly and they keep your product there for you! I wouldn't consider going anywhere else! more

PUSHY PUSHY PUSHY STAFF! 2/19/2008

Every single time I go to tan I am constantly pressured into buying more packages and spending more money. The cost alone for the beds is alot and their prices consistently going up its ridiculous. I am never coming back here again..... I am sick of being hounded down after a nice tan to BUY BUY BUY! I am going to another salon that has better service. Another bad thing is the parking, its near impossible.... The only upside the beds are clean. NOT RECOMMENDED! more

Le Beach is the best in town, PERIOD! 2/13/2008

Oh my GAWD!! Yeah, I agree, I have been going to the Le Beach Club for YEARS (B. Center, West LA, & Beverly Hills) and have never ever had a problem with pushy sales staff....I can't imagine that the complaints can be for the same tanning salons i've been going to! NEVER had an issue with Le Beach....their beds are so clean, the locations are NICE and beautiful to walk in to, and my tans are awesome!! Who are these people postings rants about bad service??? The people that work at the locations are the best!! I just don't get it..... Pros: Great locations & service, friendly staff, BEAUTIFUL tans! Cons: slightly more expensive than the rest, but i'm willing to pay for quality!! more

Are their competitors posting? 11/7/2007

I used to tan @ Monte Carlo Sun in West Hollywood before moving to BH. They had the same deal there too. After a year you would have to buy more tans. Never tanned anywhere else but I didn't have a problem with that. Beach Club does the same. One great thing is that if your membership expires they give you credit on new memberships. MCS never did that.\r \r Most importantly I've had the best experience there. The people are super friendly and knowledgeable about tanning. The place has always been IMMACULATE.\r \r Reading some of these rants below makes me feel like we're talking about two different places or their competition is posting on these boards. \r \r Try the place out. You'll be happy you did! Pros: Great equipment, best mystic, smart staff Cons: wish there was one down town more
