ecclectic movies 8/10/2005

This theater show cases a variety of both mainstream and ecclectic films. It is located in downtown gas lamp district so makes for a good friday or saturday night out before hitting the regular bars and clubs in the gas lamp district. The theater has an eloquent style, and the seats are very plush and comfortable. The concession stand has the usual way over priced candy, popcorn, nachos, and soft drinks. Show times are also reasonable and they play as late as 10:30 pm. Overall, definitely recommend catching a flick at this ecclectic theater. more

one of the only theatres that have indie films 7/24/2005

If you are finally bored at bland and boring blockbusters, this is the place for you. Landmark shows about 5-7 indie films at a time, most which have gotten acclaim from the SunDance film festival. Tickets can be a litle steep at 9.75 but most of the movies are well worth the extra buck or two. They also have a system where you can sign up for their mailing list and occasional, you will recieve screening tickets to many of the films for free. more
