I was in Raleigh visiting my brother when, right on que, my filling came out. It was really, really painful because of an exposed nerve. Lucky for me, my brother's family dentist was Dr. Garrett. She answered the emergency call and fixed me right up in about 30 minutes. If she's anything like this on a normal day, I fully recommend her services. Hopefully, we'll never meet again (given I live 3 hours away) but I certainly appreciated her help!! more

Dr. Garrett has taken care of my family's dental care needs for the last several years. She is an excellent family dentist and is great with kids. I highly recommend her and the staff is terrific too! She took the time to help me understand what my options were for my daughter's teeth as they began to come in. She also made sure my wife had an emergency filling taken care of before our vacation. The hygienists are friendly and thorough as well. It's a rare thing not to dread the dentist or doctor, but since we've been going to Garrett it's an altogether better feeling. more

Horrible dentist. She ruined one of my front teeth by filing away half of it away for no reason. Then she merely added filler that did not last. I had to spend a fortune to have the tooth capped. This tooth will require expensive maintenance for the rest of my life. She never admitted what she had done, did not offer to fix the tooth properly and charged me full price for the dental work done. Further, she improperly installed a porcelain cap on another tooth. I was in excruciating pain when the anesthetic wore off. I had to have the tooth redone by another dentist who was appalled at the work done by Garrett. Stay away from this dentist if you need more than cleaning done. She is, in my opinion, a true disaster and unethical as well. I feel awful that I have to give her one star. more

Dr. Garrett was one of the closer in network dentists I could go to after my company switched dental insurance providers. I took a chance and was glad that I did. Dr Garret was friendly and my cleaning experience was casual and without pain. more

I finally went and took advantage of my new patient special that had been outstanding until all the other dental work I needed done could be completed. It was fantastic and I was impressed by her new office space. Very friendly folks and I didn't even get fussed at for missing our original scheduling. My favorite doctor in Raleigh by far. more

My wife kept asking me to check out Dr. Garrett and her dentist office staff for about a year. I kept complaining about the turnover at my old dentist office and finally it was time. So I made the switch and wasn't disappointed. Katherine is an exceptional dentist with superb chair-side manner. She treats every patient like an individual and this makes going to the dentist much more fun. Plus her staff is the best in every way. They are always courteous and knowledgeable. Great experience and now a lifelong patient. more

I was going to another denist ""chain"" briefly when I first moved here and the continually changing staff and dentists made me concerned for my long term dental health. I tried Dr. Garrett and was very impressed and really liked the staff! My dad was a dentist, so I typically look for a dentist that utilizes the current technology and is obviously investing time and money into the current procedures. I wouldn't want to go to someone that was doing outdates procedures. Not so here...\r I like that there is continuity of care with Dr. Garrett being the only dentist you'll see and she really got to know me. As well, I felt like she was honest in what I really needed done. As a side note: I also think there's something about having a female dentist---it seems like they are more gentle because they have smaller hands. I highly recommed Dr. Garrett. Dr. Garrett has been my dentist for almost two years now and I have had nothing but great experiences at her office. Dr. Garrett designed a mouth guard for me last year and created it to perfection. After moving here from NYC, and having had several dentists in the past who did not take the time to explain procedures or make me feel comfortable, this dental office has been a nice surprise! I bounced around to few dentists when I first moved to the area and just never felt comfortable until I found Dr. Garrett's office. I 've now been a patient of Dr. Katherine Garrett's for many years and have always had great experiences at her office. In fact ,my wife and son are also long time patients and love going there as well. I have always found the staff to be simply great and the care they provide to be wonderful. They take the time to make sure you understand everything and to answer all of my questions. I live in Apex and work in Chapel Hill, but prefer to visit her office in Raleigh for my dental care. We are so fortunate to have many options for dental care in the triangle area, there are much better and reasonable dental practices for consumers in this area to patronize. I have lived in Raleigh my entire life and have been to many General Dentists until I FINALLY found the best one in Raleigh, Dr. Katherine Garrett! Every time I have visited her office, I have encountered the friendliest and most professional staff! Her office is very clean and not to mention, BEAUTIFUL! My dental cleaning was very thorough and gentle. When Dr. Garrett came in to do my exam, she introduced herself and was very interested in learning about me and any dental concerns I may have. She generated a treatment plan for my dental needs and took time to review it with me. I had several questions for her which she answered very professionally and on a level that I could understand. Afterwards, I went to the front desk to check out and WOW! what a nice front desk staff she has! The girls were very friendly and attentive. They reviewed my treatment plan and my insurance benefits with me and went out of their way to find a time that was convenient for me to schedule my appointments. I returned for treatment and could not have asked for a better experience (besides the prior one)! Dr. Garrett was very gentle and pain-free and once again, everyone was very nice and professional!! I cannot say enough good things about this office. I would highly recommend her office to anyone and everyone!!!
