Great Hair Cut 11/13/2009

I was a little apprehesive about going in. I usually go to a more "cultural" hair salon. I saw Lupe who was gracious and professional. Lupe cut and shaped my hair as though I went to my regular hair salon. I was very surprised and will now start seeing her regularly. I have referred my sister, daughter, and friends. I hope the good service continues. more

I want to see my review published 11/11/2006

The straw that broke the camel's back November 11, 2006 3:08 PM PST I have been going to this place for a long time. I am patient, complacent and a great costumer. Since all my family lives in the area we provide this place with six regular costumers. Lately, with the coming of new beauticians the manager has been promoting extra charges sometimes outrageous. Now, instead of the standard charge for hair cut, blow dry and coloring, display visibly in all haircut places, she has developed this long list of specifications like long curly hair or medium curly. Medium, curly and coarse, straight, curly and coarse. For every added effort she puts in a dollar or two so your grand total skyrockets in the end. That is if you do not take offense for what she considers additional liability. Why should curly or coarse be charged extra... Some people might consider thin and slippery is harder to manage. How did I discover this? The time before last I paid 94 dollars. I had a root color retouch, a hair cut and a blow dry. A la carte I thought I would pay 45, 18 and 12, to total about 70, plus tip. In reality I was paying 55, 18 and 21. Give and take any possible adding mistakes. The last time I paid sixty five for the same service. I happened to discover a gray spot and came back to get it fix. They fixed it. But this time they charged 21 for blow drying the wetness applying the chemicals to fix the spot demanded. What? And the blow dry was 22, since my hair was interpreted to be curly and coarse. MMMMMMMMMMM! So much for a free shampoo! And by the way. I bought a product I took home only to discover it was empty. So with my own gas I had to drive back to get a new one. Bad luck! They ran out. The reimbursement takes a few business days... Bank processing! So guess what, all together, the coloring, the blow dry (twice) and the lengthy explanation plus the three trips to the hair cutters ended up costing almost 200. Next time, I will go to my old place in La Jolla, at least there I get clean capes, lots of smiles and fair respect, whether my hair is coarse, broken, blond, gray, reddish, etc.... So unless you treat us all fairly and equally, whether bald or hairy, as in the US Constitution... it is... By by hair cutters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Times six, one for every member of my family) more

exceptional value 9/27/2005

This is a great place for getting your haircut the way you like it. There has never been a long wait for me, even on weekends, and of course you normally don't even have to wait at all if you call in advance. The stylists are all very nice and can usually give you exactly what you ask for; but, unfortunately, they are not magicians like some of us would like them to be. The prices are very competitive with other salons and I think you get more than you pay for. I definitely recommend this place for anyone who needs a good haircut but doesn't want to pay an arm and a leg for it. more

Great cut... low price 9/21/2005

The stylist that helped me was great. She listened to my needs and did exactly as I asked. The prices are low and it makes it affordable to get a cut every few weeks. The stylists are up to date and know the latest trends. I enjoyed my visit to this place. more

Quilified people 8/9/2005

They are very qualified & efficient Hair cutters I have been to. They are always ready to receive customers even after their working hours. The coupon system ensures that each one is served in the order in which he entered the shop. The people working here are very user friendly & take care of your preferences. more
