I have eaten at many top notch sushi restaurants around the world (New York, London, Paris, Cape Town), except for Japan, granted these restaurants had great ambiance and good service, but they were really over priced. When it comes to flavor and quality Ichiban is still my favorite. There are a few down sides yes, sometimes service can be slow, however very friendly, mostly on weekends because the place is always busy (testament to the great food, people who know what is good are willing to wait), and the ambiance is not fantastic being in a small strip mall it is average when it comes to interior decor. I always get sushi when I go to Ichiban, I can not attest for most of the other dishes. My favorites are: the dinner sashimi special, their tempura rols are the best, and the TNT muscles as an apetiser great, they also have good miso soup (not salty like most miso soup can be). Overall at Ichiban the quality to price ration is excelent.
Pros: Shushi, Sashimi, ingenuity with rolls
Cons: Slow at times, average ambiance.
