Knows Their Wine 3/22/2011

I am not a wine drinker, but I needed a house warming gift for a couple that are wine drinkers. Since I did not know anything about wine I really felt like a fish out of water. I stopped in to Houston Wine Merchant to see if I could blindly pick something. As soon as I went in there I did not need to blindly pick something. The man helped me pick out a great bottle of wine. He walked me through some of the differences so I could narrow it down for my friends on what they like. I did not feel like I was wasting his time or that I was foolish for not knowing the information in the first place. I would recommend them to anyone. more

Best Wine Store in Town 7/6/2009

With a variety from $9 to more-than-I-want-to-think-about this shop has everything. I never feel like they're pushy or trying to sell me something to make a quota. New parking in the back helps, and there are free tastings Fridays and Saturdays. Pros: Selection, Variety, Staff, Free Tastings more
