I love this hotel; it is one of a kind. I stayed there one night and loved it so much i stayed another night a few weeks later. It makes you feel like your at home and not in a hotel room. i would recommend it!!!! more

Indigo is great 10/4/2010

My wife and I have traveled from New Mexico 7 times in the last 14 months and have made the Indigo Hotel / Houston our home away from home. Usually our stays were 3-4 days, and our total expierence could not have been better. We found the rooms very clean, the hotel staff friendly and helpful. I will not go into detail here regarding nightly rates, but if you are creative in your approach, and research their website you just might find an amazing rate. hint hint.. We were able to (6 times). In fact upon check-in my spouse was savvy enough to ask if an "upgrade" might be available from our reserved king / standard reservation. We have been upgraded to "suites" every time except for once !! I'm talking a huge suite, 2 televisions, tons of room. We could not be happier with the Indigo / Hidalgo and their great staff. There is a bar area downstairs that serves breakfast but don't expect 4 star quality there. The coffee is Starbucks so stick with something simple. We did have room more

Bad experience 3/8/2010

I will not lie if I will tell you that this hotel is full of snobish employess. It's liek they are doing you a favor by providing you service that you expect and paid for! $199 a night, and can't even get a decent smile and help when asking for directions to local restaurants and shopping. A completely ruined experience! more

Awesome decor 8/29/2009

Many times people only write about problems they have with different businesses! I'm not like that I like to tell of the good and bad and the Hotel Indigo had allot to offer! Comfortable beds, nice decor, friendly staff, close to everything...5 stars in my book! Pros: quaint, comfy beds, very nice for the $$ Cons: none really more

Hotel Indigo....GREAT! 12/15/2008

I stayed here one night just after Hurricane Ike came through Houston. Great staff, comfy beds, and the walk-in shower was the best. The room was spotless. The decor is "beachy", and I felt like I was on an island someplace instead of here in Houston cleaning up from a hurricane. more

Relax in style. 6/23/2008

This hotel is fairly new and has all the style to show for it. There is nothing common about the decor in the hotel as every room has a different theme. The staff is super nice and the rooms are very clean with hardwood floors and Pottery Barn type furniture. The beds are very comfortable but could be a bit high for people that have mobility problems. The bathroom was very nice but was missing a tub, which my wife would have enjoyed. Pros: Great staff and very clean rooms. Cons: None more

Great hotel 2/20/2008

Great feeling when you walk in to the hotel. Staff is great. Love the location is close to everything in the Galleria area. The beds are great and rooms fun (does not feel like typical hotel). I am looking forward to my next stay. Pros: Staff decor Cons: n/a more

Loved It 12/10/2007

The was my first stay at the Indigo Hotel. The hotel is hidden behind a set of condo's. My husband missed the driveway the first time around, but it was no problem to get there after that. The parking lot is large and secure. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was a nice beach type feel. The staff were very friendly. They answered all of our questions and helped us with directions to places around downtown. The hotel room was set up different than any hotel room I've been in before. It was a nice change of scenery. The room had that resort type feel to it. When first walking in you are greeted with tranquil music and a lovely sent of the ocean. The bed was very nice and cozy. I had a great nights sleep. The windows did show a lot of light through them, but you could use the blackout shades if you wanted less light. The tv was a bit aggravating. The menu did not work on the tv, so I could not look up the channel to read what I was watching. Also, I could not watch any movies, because that feature did not work either. The bathroom was large and so was the shower. The air conditioner was a bit loud when first turning on. It did wake me up once during the night. I'm not sure if it was just my room or not. It would have been nice to have a free continental breakfast, but they did not offer that. The definitely need to provide a microwave in the room. The hotel was located close to the Galleria. It was nice to be able to walk to there. We didn't have to travel very far to get to any place we wanted to go. The next time I am in the Houston area, I do plan on staying at this hotel again. Pros: big comfy beds, super nice hotel staff, large shower, walking distance to Galleria Cons: No mircowave, no continental breakfast, air conditioner is a bit loud more
