The hubby and I just moved into the neighborhood and were excited to try the local seafood place around the corner.
Boy, were we in for...something! We ordered an appetizer sampler, the seafood combo platter, and snow crab legs. The best thing about the meal was the salad bar - and how much fun we had joking about how bad everything else was.
The crab legs weren't terrible, but the boil tasted bland and a little off. The mashed potatoes & gravy were frankly inedible. The cocktail sauce tasted like ketchup with sugar. The remoulade sauce was actually tasty, so we used that to dip everything, making the rest of the meal a little more palatable. The fried calamari was really terrible - the fry on the fried seafood is completely tasteless.
The margaritas, after adding an extra shot of tequila, weren't bad, and they were the best value on the menu. The prices of the seafood and other entrees were on par with - or more than - Red Lobster or Pappadeaux, and the quality wasn't even close to what you would get at one of those places.
As for the service...Brandy was our hostess/waitress, and she was curt, just short of rude, though she brought things in a timely manner. In fact, she brought a to-go box without being asked...though nothing was worth taking home and we left two full plates on the table.
We will not be back. Ever.
