Worst

Not a bad spot for a private gathering, but the service is just ok and the food isn't really that good especially for the price.

Overpriced and not that great 8/15/2011

Just Alright 5/14/2011

Recently went for dinner, we started with one of their cocktails of the day, it was pretty tasty, so far so good. Then we ordered the mini corn dogs, and really how can you mess up a corn dog. We ordered the short ribs and a garden salad, the garden salad was nothing special and neither were the short ribs, disappointing. Finally for desert we ordered some peanut butter pie, again fail. And to top it all off, they have all these games you can play to kill time or whatever and we asked for the backgammon game, which was missing half the pieces. Don't think I will be back. more

Find Them on Twitter! 5/9/2010

Bottomless mimosas and sangria during brunch, and at 50% off? Yes please. Following them on Twitter can really pay off. With a full menu of American comfort food and a full bar of innovative and classic cocktails, micro brews and wine, if Henry Hat isn't already one of your favorite restaurants, it soon will be. Especially when you throw in their 15 TVs blasting sports and an extensive selection of board games, free to use. [Twitter Handle: @henryhatla] more

My like the new Luna Park 12/6/2009

I'm a huge fan of Luna Park, but not a huge fan of that long, bumpy ride down Wilshire to get there, so when I heard about Henry's Hat, i was pretty happy! There are so many benefits to this place. Let's name #1, which is FREE PARKING! They have a pretty large parking lot and if it is somehow full, there is street parking not too far away. Since there's no valet stand, you can often park right in front. The main reason I visit Henry's fairly often is because I'm signed up on their Facebook account, which means I am notified of ""secret"" 50% off nights. Say a password and the ENTIRE check is 50% off! Drinks too! It's so great! This is a fun date place because of the low key mixed crowd and the board games. The service has always been great on my visits and the drinks are pretty inventive. So far, they have my favorite fish n chips ever, and that's saying something. The burgers are made with high quality meat, and you can really taste the difference. Great hand-cut fries and a mac and cheese that is super creamy. Love this place!! It can get kinda noisy when full, so don't count on intimate discussions. But do count on a rousing good time, esp. with a group! Pros: Close to my house, free parking, good vibe Cons: Not enough beer choices more

First online review to say thank you 12/6/2009

This is the first time I have ever written a review of anything online. I took my wife for s surprise birthday party to Henry's Hat. I had never been to Henry's before and was nervious that the party would not be a success. We had booked a private room for 15 people. When my group shrank to 8 people the staff said it was no big deal and gave us a great table in the main dining area. The food was fantastic, great steak, great burger. We brought our own cake but I did get to try the peanut butter fondue which was great. Our waiter was fantastic, the prices were great and the staff did everything to facilitate the surprise when my wife arrived. Thank you so much Henry's Hat for a great evening. Pros: Great for groups, great food, great service more

Really wanted to like this place. 9/19/2009

I really wanted to like this place. The ambiance is very similar to a bar I frequented in college. But it just did not live up to it. It took forever to get drinks and when they came they were just ok. Not worth the price. The casting office is better. Pros: Cool atmosphere Cons: Horrible service and drinks more

Are they selling parking or food / drink? 8/20/2009

Forcing people to pay for valet parking when there is plenty of self parking available? No way. They preferred to turn away business to ensure you paid for parking. Maybe they will wake up and realize they are selling food / drink / atmosphere and NOT parking. Won't be back. Pros: Atmosphere / Location Cons: Pay to park in Cahuenga Corridor? No way. more

Great Burgers and Pizza 8/4/2009

Not sure what to call this place - sort of a restaurant - sort of a bar, a bit like Father's Office. I have been here twice now and the food is great, great bartenders also. I am looking forward to football season - they have a bunch of TVs. Pros: Food and service more

Editorial review from GrubHub 5/17/2008

The food was delivered an hour and 10 minutes after the phone order. Everything was cold. I told the delivery guy to take a $7.00 tip. He did the opposite and took $13.00 of the $20.00 I gave him. Not pleased at all. Grub Hub has promised me coupons before for orders that were delivered cold. I never received them in my e-mail. Really disappointed overall with their service and this restaurant. more
