Cheap Delicious Pizza! 5/3/2010

The North End is full of pizza, but Haymarket Pizza is worth the extra trip across the street and worth pushing your way through the crowd of people examining fruits and vegetables at Haymarket. A slice of pizza is $1.25. A whole pizza is $7. Additional toppings are $2 each. These prices are hard to beat, even if you buy all ingredients yourself and make your own pizza. Not only is this the cheapest pizza around, it's really good! You'd never know how cheap it is from the taste. Haymarket Pizza also reheats well! Buy it ahead of time and reheat it in the oven. 15 mins at 250 and it's ready to serve. Pros: cheap, quick Cons: not always open more

Great cheap pizza by the slice 9/27/2008

Good quality pizza by the slice for cheap! I love going to the farmers market every week and it just wouldn't be the same without grabbing a slice of pizza from this nice little place. The carts of produce line the sidewalk in front of it and create a lively atmosphere. Good fun place! Pros: Cheap, tasty, fun Cons: not as fun to go to on non farmers market days more

The best Pizza in Boston or Anywhere for that matter!! 5/1/2007

This is the best Pizza anywhere and by far the best food deal in Boston! Right off the freedom trail. It's not fancy it's just fantastic. You'll see everything from blue collar to the best dressed in Boston all standing around (yes standing room only folks). I've actually seen a limo pull up and the occupants dash out for a slice. Pros: A little hard to find, standing room only. Cons: The food, the price, the whole experience! more

The sauce is SO gross 2/10/2007

Im sorry but I did NOT like this pizza. The sauce tasted like they dumped a gallon of SUGAR in it. Yes, it was the sweetest (!???) sauce I have ever tasted. The sauce ruined the whole pie. I was not impressed AT ALL! For those of you who think this is the best pizza ever, you obviously dont get out much. Blah! more

Best. Pizza. Anywhere. 1/22/2007

I know pizza. I like pizza. I eat pizza. Haymarket Pizza has had the cheapest and best pizza in Boston (or almost anywhere else) for a long, long time. Slices are $1 (!), and whole pizzas are $6. The crust/cheese/sauce combination has a flavor that needs to be sampled to be understood. The taste is both familiar and unique. I rarely get any toppings on the slices, as they just seem to take away from the flavor of the pizza itself. I work in Cambridge, and have often traveled over the bridge into Boston just for a slice. It's that good. I recommend this place to friends and strangers alike, and I've never had anyone report disappointment. Pros: Best. Pizza. Ever, and inexpensive to boot. Cons: A hole in the wall. It can get quite crowded at peak hours. more

Cheese Pizza for $1! 7/9/2006

Total bargain. $1 for a slice of cheese pizza. It's great and perfect for a quick lunch while roaming about Haymarket. Pros: Great taste Cons: Huge rush more

Haymarket: Hidden Gem! 10/9/2002

This is a fabulous place. No frills. When I first discovered Haymarket, I noticed the throngs and decided to endure the crowd, just for the experience! Lo and behold, there it was. The guys behind the counter didn't seem accustomed to having a lengthy conversation, but I babbled on! For dessert I played Pac Man! It was great! I walked out with a full stomach and a high score on the video game for under five dollars! I take my tourist friends there. I give Haymarket a 10 in ambience because it is real, which is what neighborhoods are all about. Thank goodness this block was spared the wrecking ball! Pros: Tourists unaware more

awesome 6/30/2002

my favorite slice in the city. great value and consistently good pizza. you just can't beat a buck a slice. they blast out slightly undercooked thin to medium crust pies w/ a sweet sauce and a wide array of traditional toppings. if you like crispy thin crust or well done pizza or exotic toppings then this might not be your place, but if you want a no frills old school slice then this will become your favorite slice too. Pros: quality, value Cons: no frills environment more
