Since my insurance company's adjustor was already there on-site and because she recommended them, I let them do the body repairs. Since my adjustor was backed up with appointmens and the body shop seemed to be shorthanded that day, I was rushed through the process of leaving my car with thjem and find a ride home. So rushed, that I forgot to remove my (VERY WELL HIDDED) stash of ""emergency cash"". The next day I remembered not getting it but thought, ""Surley they'll not look there... There's no reason for them to go snooping in that spot (or ANY spot for that matter). Yeah, you already know the outcome. When I picked up the car, it was gone. Since It was my fault for leaving it there, I didn't say anything to them at the time and took responsibliity for it. However, a few months later, my boyfriends car was in an accident & needed body repairs done, so we took it back to them. This time, he forgot to take our camera out of the glove box. Yeah, you guess right again. When we got the car back, it was gone. I then called the shop & spoke with the manager and informed him if BOTH thiefts. He seemed upset & told us that he's have a meeting with his workers about this. A few days passed, when we received a relieved yet reluctant call back from the manager. He told us that he'd asked the party to come forward and return camera and no questions would be asked. Well, a camera was returned.... BUT IT WASN'T OURS. I think I've made my point. PS: The body shop did NOT persue the mater any futher.
