Yep..the course is pretty good...probably the best in town but you'll have to get past the starter and the other 200 older guys that set up the same tee time everyweek for the pas...

Great Course! 6/21/2007

Harpeth Hills is a great golf course! Here is a review that will actually be helpful and not mad cause someone could not get a tee time. Harpeth Hills is the top rated golf course in Metro Parks. Therefore, in order to get a tee time on a Thurs, Fri, Sat, or Sun it is best to call a week in advance. The slots fill up fast! (A lesson I had to learn...) The greens are nicely kept, and you get to see deer and wild turkey! Also, check out those consession girls.... they are hot!!!! Pros: hard course, inexpensive, friendly staff Cons: tee times fill up fast more

Under New Management 5/23/2006

Fabulous golf course! Over the past few years, the management has strived to improove the staff performance. #1 problem is that they can't meet the demand for play. The course stays full and the fact that tee times are hard to get, must be a testament of course conditions and the friendly staff. Pros: Staff , Course conditions, convenience Cons: Too much demand! more

Harpeth Hills 3/14/2006

I have played a lot of courses, and I will be honest, Harpeth Hills is a great little course, however, I have stopped going there because of the staff. They treat you like crap. And it is not just one employee that does this, all of them do. Horrible place. Pros: Challenging course Cons: Rude, nasty Staff more

Decent Course, Terrible Staff !!! 6/3/2004

I agree with the other reviews about the terrible staff at Harpeth Hills! While the course is generaly in good shape, the interaction with the staff is the worst I have EVER experienced. Most of the STAFF members usually come across as extremely RUDE and ARROGANT. They treat you as though they are running an exclusive members only club and they have cought you sneaking on to play. Pros: Inexpensive, Decent for the money Cons: , Crowded, Poor Greens more

Course: Great Staff: Horrid 6/12/2003

Great course that is kept up very well, and is somewhat challenging. But the staff will make you want to never return. Very rude, bossy and pushy. Their starters are unbelievably rude, and demanding. Its a shame that a great course has to be ruined by an older staff who think that they run a private country club back in the 70's. Pros: nicely manicured, Very open course, quick play Cons: Staff, Staff, Staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

Chuck 6/12/2003

Pissy civil servants running the pro shop detract from the Harpeth Hills experience. The course is long, difficult and well maintained. It is well planned, unlike many of today's courses carved from hillsides (see Through the Green Joelton, Pebble Brook and Country Hills). Get past the arrogance of the clubhouse and starter at Harepth and you will have a good round. more

Harpeth Hills...Harder than you think. 3/4/2003

Harpeth Hills isn't as easy as it looks. Some pin placements are extremely difficult and its a much easier course if you stay in the fairway. If you have a slice or a hook...you may want to practice before you play. They have a good practice range, and two practice greens. The people are friendly. Pros: Inexpensive, Good Value, Challenging Cons: Illegal pinplacements more

Starter is a hard case! 1/13/2003

Yep..the course is pretty good...probably the best in town but you'll have to get past the starter and the other 200 older guys that set up the same tee time everyweek for the past 10 years! Good luck in trying to get on Saturday or Sunday. Pros: greens, fairways, cost Cons: starters more

This course is not in Brentwood 9/21/2002

To the person who just presented that most informed editorial. Harpeth Hills Golf Course is not in Brentwood or Williamson County for that matter. And why would anybody want to live in Brentwood or pretend that they did? Harpeth Hills is a great course. McCabe is probably a better course. However, Harpeth Hills is one I can get too easily from my house and enjoy golf without the headaches that McCabe usually presents. more

brentwood wannabes 9/2/2002

just because you are located in brentwood does not mean you are country club or are in any way associated with the residents. The staff is totally worthless. you feel as if you have been priveledged to even walk through the door much less play there. I'm sorry but the metro parks staff is not hootie johnson and the augusta employees. don't do me any favors. I'll go to ted rhodes which is better kept and they appreciate your business. As far as the best in Nashville, you can't even compare to Hermitage Golf course. The old course is immaculate ALWAYS and the Presidents Reserve is like a round in South Carolina. The staff and facilities are unmatched anywhere. Fair test of golf. Pros: adequate parking, driving range Cons: staff, staff, staff more

The Best Public Course Ever 8/24/2002

Harpeth Hills has a wonderful entertaining staff. The golf course is also challening and very well upkept. The pros Ray and Kevin are also very nice people. This course is also the best course alive. Pros: Inexpensive, Challening, Nice shade spots Cons: I wish that they had, more holes to play on more

A hidden treasure 8/12/2002

A challenging yet fair municipal golf course that seems to have a maintance budget of a private golf club. Friendly and Knowledgable staff run the course and proshop as if it were thier own buissness. Ranger Rick Newman was helpful on many holes spotting drives and helping to retrieve PW from pond. more

waytooslow 8/11/2002

This course played ridiculously slow. Over 5 hours on a weekday, and not one marshall to be seen on the entire course. more

A Bargain for sure 8/7/2002

What a great public course, with a tough layout and still very affordable more

10 8/7/2002

It is just a great overall place. Friendly staff and well kept up. Very nice course and very relaxing. Pros: Good parking, great overall course, very challenging more

Rays Hills 7/30/2002

Real challenge with lots of different type of holes. Good length, twists, turns, and slopes. The hardest par 3s in Nashville. The par 5s are long with one exception, number 17. Wonderful location with lots to look at, trees, birds, deer, and even turkeys! Pros: location, shot making more

Great Green Place 7/24/2002

What a wonderful place to relax with friendly people away from the city. The natural environment, birds, wildlife, woods, and exceptionally well maintained course keep me coming back to this gem. You cannot beat the golf challange, the friendly staff, and the best maintained course in the middle Tennessee area. Pros: Excellent Course, Inexpensive, Friendly Staff Cons: Tee Time shortage, Food selection more

review 7/24/2002

Great place to play golf! Best municipal course I've ever played. Pros: great people, driving range, bent grass greens Cons: needs sand some traps more

Harpeth Hills 5/23/2002

THis is a great course. It is probably the best public course I have ever played. It is a challenging Par 72 and has 4 par fives. There is also lots of wild life such as deer often roaming in the rough. I recomened this course as a ""must play"". Pros: Course kept up nicely, friendly workers Cons: Needs better chipping more
