Handley Dental

Dr Handley is so thorough and has done great work for me. He referred me to an endodontist for a root canal because he did not feel he could fully complete the root canal for me without causing pain ( it is very difficult to numb me). He is always very concerned about pain and comfort. Dentists are my least favorite visits, and Dr Handley always makes it as pleasurable as possible. I have had no problems with crowns, or any other work he has performed in my mouth . I highly a recommend Dr Handley and his considerate, kind staff. more

Dr. Handley should not be practicing dentistry. He permanently cemented a crown to an implant. The crown was poorly done and needed to be removed later. The only way it could be removed was to be cut it from the implant. Fortunately, I had a skilled dentist who was able to do this successfully and replace the crown. He also is not skilled in correcting a malocclusion. I went to him several times to correct my bite and he would grind away some of the tooth and tell me see how it goes and if it doesn t work to come back. It didn t work and I went back several times. Over the course of time, the bad bite caused serious problems. Looking back, he did not know what he was doing, yet he never referred me to a dentist who could fix the problem. These among other issues that he will not take responsibility for lead me to see Dr. Handley as unethical and the belief he should not be practicing dentistry with his current skill set. I can not recommend him to any one in need of dental care. My experience with him as a dentist has caused me severe emotional and financial hardship. I have filed a complaint concerning these issues with the Greater Houston Dental Society and the Texas State Regulatory Board for further investigation. more

I agree with the last review of Dr. Handley's dental work by L. S. I also have had many problems with the cosmetic dental work that he attempted to do for me. My crowns were the wrong color and he would not correct them even though he should have matched them correctly to the rest of my teeth from the beginning. My bridge work kept falling out as well. Then the one tooth of the bridge chipped and he would not fix it for me. So now my upper teeth are uneven. He glossed over all his mistakes with jokes and tries to be charming (flirting). This did not set well with me especially since I received sub-par dental treatment. AVOID! more

If you need cosmetic work DO NOT choose Dr. Handley. He does not know what he is doing. He put a crown on a peg lateral tooth of mine and it became abscessed within a couple of years. He also did a maryland bridge on the other side and I can't even go into detail on how bad it looks... wrong color, wrong shape, wrong size. I have had it re-glued back in more than 10 times. He re-glued it in a couple of times but after about the 4th time he said he would have to start charging me, and he said this knowing he messed up on the actual structure of the bridge. I would have had a regular bridge put in by now but the cost of Dr. Handley's services was so great that I just can't afford to have more work done within only a couple of years. So for the time being, I just smile with my mouth closed...sniff sniff. more

I am 52 years old, and have been going to dentists all of my life. Dr. Handley is by far the best dentist I have ever had. His chair-side manner, his dental assistant, and the way he provides treatment is wonderful! My treatment required pallet Novocaine shots, which are usually very painful, but somehow he managed to do this so quickly, that it didn't even hurt. I got a root canal, filling, extraction, and 4 caps, all on my front teeth. They feel and look natural. I have my smile back. Thank you so much!!!! Handley Dental!! more

I love Dr. Handley. He is a great dentist. I brought my son to his office for a broken tooth and he filled it perfectly. He has a great personality and he is very personable. more

If I could give a 0 star, I would. I chose Dr. Handley after I moved to Cypress because of its location. I loved my old dentist, but his location was just too far away. I got 10 seconds of Dr. Handley's time whenever I went in for my visit. He was so cold it's unbelievable. His dental hygienist made it out as if my teeth were falling apart, she made all sorts of recommendations, such as 4 cleanings a year, deep cleaning every so often.... I knew I did not have bad teeth so I went to a different dentist for a second opinion. My new dentist was shocked by Dr. Handley's practice. He also told me that I had good teeth, regular twice a year cleaning is good enough. Good luck trying to make an appointment. And if something happens you need to reschedule (your child is sick, your work calls you for an out of town trip, you get sick...) they will punish you by rescheduling you to a date a whole months later, insisting that they were all booked up. In the mean while, someone I know called and was able to get an appointment for the next day. more

I went to Dr. Handley to get a cleaning and to fix a chipped tooth. Both were done very well! The equipment is very high tech and the staff is great! A+ service and affordable. Great with my little boy too! more

I am absolutely terrified of dentists, so I put off regular treatment for years. When I was finally in such pain I couldn't stand it, I came across Dr. Handley's ad in a local magazine. He's such a cutie pie that I figured staring at him would take my mind off the pain I would surely endure. Well, his cuteness doesn't hurt a bit, and neither did any of my treatment. The staff is so great, especially with my son. They are truly caring and nice. They were cool enough to bill my insurance and charge reasonable rates, so my percentage payments were affordable. I had a little panic attack my first day there for a much-needed root canal (my first one ever), and he talked me through it and gave me all the time I needed to feel relaxed enough to go forward. I felt he was very competent and did excellent work. I didn't even feel the needle stick for the numbing! I now see him regularly for cleaning and I've even had a few cavities filled since. I've never felt nervous after the first day, because I know he'll do a great job and he will make certain I'm never in pain, even for a moment. He took all the fear out of dentistry for me. He has my highest recommendation. My entire family sees him now. Dr. Handley is awesome! more

I took my daughter who is terribly afraid of all dentist and doctors to Handley last year. I let the front desk know of her fears and they let the dentist know. They were wonderfully patient with her. I almost never am able to get her to drink the floride but they did just fine. I will surely return. more

If your in need of a great dentist give Dr. Ron Handley a try! He is conveniently located on Barker Cypress between Riata Ranch and Stonegate. He is very gentle dentist and really cares for his patients. The hygienist's and staff are very friendly and make you feel comfortable as soon as you walk through the door. Kid friendly too! They offer various services including, teeth whitening (ZOOM). Its hard to find a good dentist. So when you find a great one its time to share the name. Parking is easy, right off Barker in shopping plaza. more
