Green and white Taxi have the most horrific people working for them in both customer service/ on phones, and drivers. I tried to get a cab the other day and the whole terrible experience almost made me break down.My 1st call to them I was greeted by one of the rudest nasty sounding people I have encountered on a phone service. Yelled at me because I had not memorized the address of the place I needed to make a quick stop at on my way to my final stop. It was only 3 blocks away from the final address and I felt I could tell the driver, ""ok stop here for a minute please"" but she actually yells at me.Also yells at me because I ask her how long the wait will be! Standard question, everyone probably would ask, and she gets an attitude. Like I was some sort of small child who was disobeying her direct orders or some insane thing! Then she sighs and acts all put out, as she takes my info and order. Claimed I will have a 20 min wait. Okay, so I wait. No taxi showed up. I call again and she tells me it is ANOTHER 20 min. I wait. No taxi. I call a third time and ask her, so are there any drivers IN this area? Or did you simply tell me this? She leaves the phone for five seconds at best, returns and tells me she spoke to a supervisor (Not possible in five seconds)and no ones in the area) and will not be for hours. I had waited already nearly a full hour, standing in a grocery store doing nothing, holding foods that were quickly spoiling because I had been lied to. People in the store staring at me as if I were just there to try and steal something or loiter. It was horrible.Now that I have read comments from others about how this company regards short fares as worthless, which by the way is completely NOT okay-people need to go short distances often, and might find some repeat customers if this company would stop being RUDE and self important all the time. I was forced to call a different taxi company and order a cab from them instead. They showed up, too and within 20 minutes. However by that time, due to green and whites dishonesty, I had ruined 70 dollars worth of foods, which I cant afford to replace&wasted an hours time while in a hurry, and gotten yelled at twice, lied to three times, and accused of loitering by store owner, (who just could not believe that I was simply just there waiting that long for a taxi).I was so upset I just wanted to get home and be alone. The folks who say this company gave them excellent service, must have gotten lucky, or spoken to a far more competent phone person? All I can say is this was about as FAR from excellent service I have encountered all year. It is right up there with waiting on hold for 73 minutes,to speak to a Govt. agency like social security, or something.The only way I would ever call these people again, would be if all other companies went out of business forever.
