Their cakes are sinful. We've ordered several cakes and cheesecakes from Gerald. We decided to try the Lemon Layer Cake. I had Lemon Pound Cake but never have I had scratch made Lemon Layer Cake. The cake was awesome, soft, moist, very flavorful with lemon. It didn't have an artificial lemon taste at all. Icing was lemony and delicious as well. Looking forward to trying the Lime Layer Cake for Easter. more

I ordered a Pumpkin Cheesecake and it was awesome! We've also tried the German Chocolate Cake in the past and it was great too. I want to thank you for being able to get my order to me on such short notice and then calling me to make sure that I received it. For that, I had to write this review. I purchase the sweet potato cheesecake for my mother each year as a birthday gift and Gerald never disappoints! It's my mom's favorite. I just received the White Chocolate cake with the pineapple filling over the weekend for a dinner we had on Sunday. My guests as well as myself thoroughly enjoyed it! Gerald's cheese cakes are amazing. So are his cupcakes. And his brownies are some of the best you will ever taste. If you really want a great dessert for your event, get one of Gerald's desserts. Not only me but my entire team can personally say they are excellent. more

This is my go to guy for everything desserts. I have not had any of his cheesecakes, yet, but I have no doubt they are just as amazingly delicious as his cakes. I have ordered the Key Lime and Butter Pound Cake and have never tasted anything like them. The Butter Pound Cake will put every pound cake you've ever had to shame. I will only use this cake for Strawberry Shortcake. The Key Lime cake, I guarantee is nothing like you've ever had before. And, don't get me started on his brownies...to absolutely die for. Well, I have gotten my family hooked on his cakes to the point where we order 2 at a time...and there's never any left the next day. I mean, who does that?! That's how good these cakes are. You'll have to try it for yourself to get the full effect of how distinctively good they are. He's got a forever customer in me. more

I recently purchased a cheesecake for a dear friend of mine and cheesecake is about the only dessert he favors and i needed it to be delivered, so after reading all the great reviews and gave Geralds a try. \r I was told this was the BEST CHEESECAKE EVER! Even after 2months, my dear friend still raves about it...so you know it had to be GOOD!! I was so glad!! It was a win-win!! Delicious! 1/31/2012

My husband LOVES cheesecake and requested one for his 40th birthday. He loves the traditional NY cheesecake with graham crust and strawberries. I looked online for the best cheesecake in Atlanta and Gerald's was on every list. The cake did not disappoint! The delivery was perfect and the cake was delicious. Everyone took the name down for future orders! Thanks for making my hubby's 40th so special! more

Perfect timing on a birthday 1/27/2012

I had Gerald's deliver a cheesecake to my son at work. He'd just moved to Atlanta and I wanted to make sure he had his favorite dessert on his birthday. The beautiful, delicious cake arrived to the ooohs and ahhhs of his office staff. Everyone loved it. Thanks, Gerald's, for making this mom feel great about celebrating her son's birthday, far from home. more

For Thanksgiving I had a red velvet cake and brownies shipped to Chicago. shipped on Monday..arrived on Wednesday...On Thanksgiving it tasted like it had been baked that morning!! Brownies melted in our mouths...red velvet was ridiculously delicious!! i am a southern girl and this did not disappoint at all!! Will definitely definitely use again. THANKS SOOOO MUCH GERALD!!!! more

I recently moved to Phoenix from Atlanta. I searched and searched the internet for an Atlanta bakery to deliver my boyfriend a cheesecake for ""sweetest day"". I found Gerald's online and smoothly and quickly placed a phone order. The cheesecake was delivered as ordered on ""sweetest day"" and got rave reviews. My boyfriend loved it!!! I would definitely recommend this bakery to anyone looking for a great sweet delivery and will be ordering from Gerald's again. Thank you!!! more

WOW, WHAT A CHEESECAKE! 4/10/2011

I wanted to order a blueberry cheesecake online for a friends birthday. I was suprised to find Geralds Heavenly Cheescakes and Desserts one of the few online bakerys that actually offered a blueberry cheesecake. So I gave them a try based on the reviews from CitySearch. We were not disappointed! Wow, what a cheesecake! My friend is still talking about it. Very creamy, it tasted homemade and it was covered with a thick layer of sweet blueberries. We will be back! more

Decadent Deliciousness 3/3/2011

My family grew up in NYC and a family friend, Paul Probetsky, was one of the bakers at Junior's, the renowned cheesecake shop which, at the time, had a single location in Brooklyn. For 40 years my parents measured every cheesecake against Junior's . . . and every one, no matter how creamy or delicious, just didn't quite match up . . . until I surprised them on their recent trip to Atlanta with Gerald's cheesecake. They were blown away by the creamy texture, the burst of ricotta that greeted each bite, and the deliriously perfect graham cracker crust. It's simply phenomenal and Gerlad is a fantastic person, easy to deal with and immensely accommodating. more

Excellent, homemade flavor! 1/25/2011

My niece was in town to celebrate her birthday so instead of a cake, I suggested we get a cheesecake. I heard from a co-worker how good the cheesecakes are, so we went online and saw the Valentine’s Day heart shaped cheesecake. The red velvet heart shaped looked amazing so we ordered it and was able to get it made fresh the same day. We were NOT disappointed. Coming from a southern/soul food-type cooking background, my first bite was HEAVENLY. The icing is like eating fresh cream and fresh butter... the cheesecake tasted like a cheesecake made by someone's grandmother from down south. It was phenomenal. There are SO many flavors and it'll take a while to get through them all, but I'm willing to try. :-) more

OMG! 10/19/2010

I absolutely LOVE cheesecake! I've had plain, chocolate, caramel and strawberry but I've never had it with cranberry and walnut - I've never heard of it with that combination....but Oh, I have to tell you that was the best piece of cheesecake I've ever had! \r \r Someone brought in Cheesecake from Gerald's Heavenly Cheesecakes, Desserts & Catering and it was the BEST EVER! It was so moist, plenty of fruit and nuts and I am currently working on my second slice. I'll workout for an extra hour tonight to make it up but right now my mouth is quite pleased! more
