  • The Appeal
If parents want to show their kids the cultural richness of Seattle Center, they can abandon all hope once their young ones hear the roller-coaster music or the barkers beckoning them to shoot their way to a stuffed-pig trophy at Fun Forest. It's such an intense mix of 1960s color and corniness that it's almost retro-hip.

    Features
At the indoor pavilion, play miniature golf, laser tag and video games (car racing is most popular). Younger kids might prefer the Puff-and-Dumbo rides. Just outside is more traditional carnival fare, from a Ferris wheel and Wild River ride to a roller coaster and merry-go-round.The usual amusement park food includes hot dogs and corn dogs, cotton candy and sno-cones. For more variety, walk a few feet west to the Seattle Center House, with its vast food court.
