This place is NOT fun city. The staff (manager, bartender, ride attendants, bouncers) were all completely rude and inappropriate. Not a fun night, and it was my birthday :( more

NEVER AGAIN!!!!! 1/8/2012

I remember going to this place as a young teen, back when it was called Fun Plex. I decided to take my two children to it today. NEVER AGAIN!!! The food was disgusting, and we had to keep buying drinks because they don?t do refills. Talk about cheap. The whole place was dirty, and half the games did not work. The last straw was when I let my little daughter go play in the little kid?s area, and had seen a few kids playing with a used mouse trap. The trap had mouse feces on it. We did not even bother to use up the remainder of our time, we needed to get out, and get out fast. Spend your money at another family center, and stay far from this place. more

I really should not even give them a star. It was that bad. more

Don't waste your time, there are better places to go. 10/6/2010

We stopped at Fun City today for the first time. It was Horribly filthy in the kids play area. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years and hadn't been vacuumed in months! I wondered if they have ever had a visit from the health inspector ( they would probably be shut down it was that bad). We had our 84 year old grandmother with us (who is restricted to a wheelchair). She wanted to have an alcoholic beverage while she had to wait for the kids who were playing. They would not serve her because she did not have her driver's license with her. We spoke with the manager and he informed us that it is their policy to only serve alcohol to those that can prove their age and since it is around Halloween anyone can dress to look older. REALLY?? She is 84 and she looks 95, very feeble, completely white haired, very wrinkly, I seriously do not think someone under 21 could really pull that off with any kind of success. I do agree with carding people and not letting people drive drunk but this was completely ridiculous. She doesn't drive, she's 84, and she just wanted one drink. This place is under new ownership and I really think they have a lot of work to do to work out the kinks in their business policies. I don't think we will be going back any time soon. Denver has many great places to go and have fun at, this one is not worth the time or money. more

Not again 10/25/2006

I would not recommend this place for any one of any age. We have reserved a party and found out two days before that it is standing room only for the parents and that we are not going to have any extra space for gifts or any thing else. It is like a mad house or zoo. The staff is very unclear about the rules and regulations and quick to agree with out giving you the facts. If the party where not two days away and innovations sent out I would seek some other place to have my childs party. more

i wouldn't recommend this place, its basically made up of little kids running around. Not the place to be if your not 7. 9/21/2006

I went there last week, it was terrible. Everyone there seemed as if they were just yelling. It was so loud because of the little children screaming in their high pitched voices. Any of the older people that were there looked as if they just walked away from fat city's bar, they are just as annoying. I would definitely not recommend going. You will regret it. Pros: NO POSITIVES IN BEING THERE Cons: loud, annoying children and drunks, bowling alleys are trashed more

Cool place to have fun! 9/20/2005

Fat City's bowling lanes were awesome. It's a very retro look, with swank seating and plenty of space at each lane. The black lights made the bowling really cool. The price was affordable and the atmosphere of the bowling center is by far the best in town. Great music, a killer bar, good eats and they have tons of other stuff to do, laser tag, mini golf, lots of video games, skating and this crazy twister ride. We had a blast at Fat City. Pros: affordable, atmosphere rocks, great parking more

Perfect Kids' Entertainment 8/25/2005

We went to Fat City for the first time last week (08-05). This is the place we will be sure to budget time for on every future trip to Denver, and it will be the second place I will recommend to visitors (Casa Bonita being No. 1). Fat City has SO much to do that visitors should plan for a full day there. They have bumper cars, bowling, mini golf, a twister ride, roller skating, laser tag, a great foam factory, food, drinks, and a gigantic arcade. The employees are helpful and friendly, and the entire facility is very well maintained. The only drawback is the noise level, but you get used to it after a short time, and the fun is worth the noise! Check their specials before planning your trip; they have different ones for almost every day. Pros: Good specials, Huge arcade, Helpful employees Cons: Noise more

Don't bother with the bowling alley. 11/17/2003

The bowling alley is very expensive and not well-maintained. The lanes are not waxed regularly, and the seating areas for each lane are very small. Save some money and go to a good bowling alley, like Brunswick. Cons: Expensive, Long wait more

THE PLACE TO BE 12/17/2002

FAT CITY IS THE NEW PLACE TO BE. THEY HAVE RE-DECORATED THE BOWLING ALLEY, AND IT IS VERY UNIQUE. Pros: FUN ATMOSPHERE, GREAT FOOD, GOOD SERVICE Cons: EXPENSIVE, WAITING FOR A LANE more
