My husband and I recently went through the whole process of choosing a model home to be semi-custom built for us at the KB Home location in Littleton.
Our entire process of choosing a home, choosing details for the home, having it built, and dealing with the salespeople was great until the end.
The only negative thing I can say about KB Home is that they will keep your earnest money if you end up not being able to buy the home you planned to buy.
But, besides that issue, the model homes are breath-taking, the salespeople were very kind and helpful, and the process of choosing the home's interior details was an educational experience at the studio.
Unfortunately for us we weren't able to sell our home in time to buy the KB Home that was built for us. It's sad, but it was a learning experience for us. The word to the wise is don't put your money on the line if you're not sure you'll get it back.

We lived in the Monterrey Apartment Homes upon first movinjg to the Denver area. We were quite pleased. They have a variety of layouts of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments. One of the best features is that all units come with a washer & dryer included. Overall it's a pretty quiet community. They allow dogs which is great if you have one. But watch out for owners who don't pick up after their dogs. You'll find "surprises" on the grass. There's also a bit of a parking issue - people have too many cars and they are always parked in the no parking lanes along the edges. The trash situation is also problematic. There is just one dumpster which is a compacter. At the beginning of the month, when everyone is moving in/out, it gets too full and people start to pile their trash on the grass nearby - gross! But the management is great and very responsive to problems. And there's always something freshly baked in the office.
