Great family fun 8/9/2006

Lots of exercise as it is a large zoo with many exhibits. They had the dinoroar which my kids really enjoyed. The parrot haven is amazing. The birds fly and eat off sticks right around you. We have the family membership and it is worth every penny of it. Speaking of pennies they also have various machines located throughout the zoo that smashes and puts imprints of animals. Gives kids something to collect without spending lots of money. Nice souvenier shops. more

Fort Worth Zoo is Great! 4/15/2006

Our Fort Worth Zoo is really one of the best attractions in my opinion. I really love the new additions, the atmosphere, and the whole experience. One of the most amazing times to go to the Zoo is in October when they do "Boo at the Zoo." The kids ( and adults) love it. Our daughter will be one this year and we look forward to taking her to "Boo at the Zoo." If you haven't been it the Zoo since you were a kid, you are missing out. more

Beautiful Zoo 10/31/2005

A Zoo in the middle of a beautiful park. That is what the Fort Worth Zoo is. You can see animals as you walk among trees and different habitats. It is a great day and very cheap for all the fun you get. Check out the Texas section for animals that are native to Texas. They have a lot of programs for kids including Boo at the Zoo! The staff at the zoo is great! more

Best Zoo in the Southwest 9/29/2005

Fort Worth's Zoo is one of the best zoos in the United States. They keep the zoo looking it's best at all times. They have a very active breeding program and you can almost always see the results of that with little baby animals in the zoo. There are a lot of little gift shops and food spots. The food is average for a zoo and actually is very good. The grounds are large but laid out very well. Everything was very clean and great. They also have Boo at the Zoo and Christmas Lights at the zoo which are both a lot of fun! more

Amazing ZOO! 9/22/2005

I love the Fort Worth Zoo! It is laid out wonderfully and you can start at the beginning where you buy tickets and wrap around the zoo going from exhibit to exhibit until you end up at the end of the zoo back where you started from. It flows very well and you get to see everything. The elephants and the texas are are the best. The food is a little expensive but you can get your hand stamped and go get something and then come back to the zoo. more

What a day 9/6/2005

This is the best Zoo in town. The kids always enjoy going. They offer plenty of extras through out the year also such as over night stays, summer camps, learning camps, Boo @ the Zoo, and more. Don't just take a trip to the zoo add a tour or sign your kids up for a summer camp. They offer so much that most people don't even know about. Research the web site and it tells you the current events. I do think that the season passes are a little expensive, so go on a 1/2 price day.  more

I love the Texas section-- it has a great Texas feel! Food is a little expensive! Don't forget -Boo at the Zoo-- a great time for Halloween fun with the Family! more

New and improved 8/19/2005

This zoo is great. They have recently remodled the texas part of the zoo. They have all kinds of new shops and resturants and activity's for children. The animals are always very active. So you actually get to see the animals move around , eat and play. This is a great zoo to take your kids they will love it. more

Great way to spend a day 8/17/2005

We went to the Fort Worth zoo this summer and LOVED it. There was lots to do for the entire family. The landscape was nicely kept. There were lots of neat shops and restaurants to go into. You could easily see all the animals and there were plenty of employees walking around to help you out. We had a great time and my 2 year old has been asking to go back. There were a lot of neat animal statues to take pictures on. We were very pleased with the zoo and plan to go back next year. more

Well designed exhibits, a model zoo 8/17/2005

The Fort Worth zoo is the kind of place that you always wanted to go to when you were a child. Not only do they have every sort of animal that a child wants to see -- lions, tigers, bear, oh my -- but the exhibits are nicely done. It minimizes the intrusion onto the animals but still allows you to see them. I was a little disappointed in their Great Barrier Reef exhibit. For awhile they had every highway in DFW plastered with signs advertising it, but it turned out to be just a few tanks with fairly common fish. My husband's tank is almost more impressive. I'm also disappointed that they don't have reciprocity with the Dallas zoo. I think it's done that way so that both zoos can maximize memberships, but it's too bad that you have to choose one or the other. more

One of the best in America 8/10/2005

The Fort Worth Zoo is so much fun that I try to go often and I always take out of town guests. Wed. is half price day and you can put a cooler in your car for a picnic once you have cruised through the zoo. The Texas Wild section is really fun and the kids tend to like the monkey's the best. I never get food on-site, but I know that they have a wide selection of choices and price ranges. They also have a lot of activities for the kids and the staff is friendly. There is plenty of parking for $5.00. more

Award Winning Zoo 8/4/2005

The Fort Worth Zoo is the best zoo my family has ever been to. It is a nationally recognized zoo, and has the financial backing of many of Fort Worth Society. The Zoo has a banquet room available for parties and functions. There have even been weddings there. The Zoo School, offered extensively during the summer, and other times throughout the year. The exhibits at the zoo are always kept neat and clean. There are animals of all kinds, and even a few air conditioned areas for the hot Texas summers. The Texas Wild exhibit is wonderful. more

So much better than the Dallas Zoo 8/1/2005

I love going to the zoo anytime of the year. The Fort Worth Zoo is world class! They have the best exhibits around, and some unique animals. This is a nice family outing that is relatively inexpensive. They have so great activities for children and a neat gift shop! This is so much better than the Dallas Zoo, but both are fun. more

Outstanding Zoo... Very Clean... 7/27/2005

You will see the fab five: Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Giraffe, Gorilla. The grounds are amazing, the animals all seem active and happy. All actractions are educational and easy to understand. Zoo food is a fair value and the pizza is very tasty. Gift shops are fully packed with items from very inexpensive to collector peices. All in all, great fun, and a good value. more

Fun Zoo Time 7/18/2005

Do you have kids? Do your kids like animals? I know mine do! The Fort Worth Zoo is a great and fun outdoor experience for the whole family. They have some of the most unusual and unique animals there are. Ranging from antelope to zebras and lizards to penquins, they have just about everything. And for the kids who like to interact, there is a petting zoo that is no extra charge. Tickets into the zoo are $10 adults and $5 kids, but you can stay are long as you like! There are also picnic tables and playground areas to enjoy your lunch. Or if you prefer to not eat at the Zoo, it is in a great location with tons of resturaunts and fast food places around. more

Great 7/13/2005

I love going to this zoo. It is so nice and it is so big. The kids love it they have such an array of different animals that are on exibhit here. I think that the best part though was though ocean area where they had the touch tank and you could actually mess with a lot of the different see creatures. They had urchants and they had sea rays. It was just so nice. Also they have many babies at the zoo and they have a petting zoo it was just so nice. more

Great Fun for all Ages 7/13/2005

The Fort Worth Zoo is a world class zoo and a great idea for a family outing. They have so many different animals, interactive exhibits, and activities for the kids. This is the best zoo of all the ones that I have visited. There is so much to see and do plan on spending the day here. more
