The best seafood sald ever! 11/11/2007

I caught a glimpse this fantastic place by accident because they are now open for lunch and I had the Gulf Shrimp and lump crabmeat louie salad. Fantastic! It had radishes, olives, celery, and eggs in it with an amazing louie dressing and a glass of fresh ice cold tea. What a great place, food, service and finally a louie salad like the seaside! I think I am going to try the Steak and Blue salad next time :) \r \r Pros: Fantastic salads more

Love love love this snider plaza restaurant! 11/10/2007

Now that they are open for lunch I can enjoy lunch with my friends in my favorite restaurant! The owner comes from northern California where she was famous for her SF restaurant. I am from California and was so pleased when she opened. He dishes are fantastic and NOT FRIED! Too many healthy choices to list from a spicy tomato soup, Frisee salad and Mary?s Roast chicken breast to Pan seared beef tenderloin Au Poivre, served with a rich Cognac cream. Yumm! I must say they are famous for their Quail wrapped with apple smoked bacon and served with a fresh Sage Marinade! My Favorite is the Lamb, Provincial style! You can bring your children as well, Felissa will have her chef prepare just about anything for them as they are ?kid accommodating?, nice, very nice! In the Snider Plaza across from the Famous fountain. Pros: Surprise! It's kid friendly & romantic! The perfect combination of choices. Cons: easy to miss, is on the nw side of the fountain. more

Romantic neighborhood restaurant 10/14/2007

We are not always sold on first impressions so we always like to try out a place several times before we would ever recommend it to a friend. Last night was our fourth time at Felissa's. We all agree that it just keeps getting better and better. We have had drinks & appetizers at the bar, lunch and dinner twice - It has been OUTSTANDING each time. Everyone at the table believes that they ordered the best though we all shared and agreed - everything was the best from the Redfish, shrimp pasta, steak, quail, etc. (the tomato & mozzarella salad is to die for!) Do not forget the chocolate dessert - but you need to share it because it is so rich! Last night we had a large party - and were treated as though we were old friends. Felissa came by to speak with us and our waiter remembered us from our last dinner (though that may not be for a good reason???) Anyway - the whole experience was wonderful. It is a beautiful restaurant though NOT fussy. I actually was prodded in by my husband the first time wearing dressy shorts this summer - and they welcomed me with open arms! My run down is this - it is a romantic restaurant for two or a cozy place for 10. The food is EXCELLENT and the staff so attentive they make you feel special. It is not a place where you want to rush but relax and enjoy. I realize now why there are not any reviews posted - EVERYONE who has eaten here wants to keep it their secret spot. Maybe I should delete my review! Pros: Food & Staff. Cons: Parking - expensive but you DO get what you pay for! Worth it more

Very Very Good 2/24/2007

My wife and I went to Felissa's for the first time the other Friday night for an after Valentine's Day dinner. This is a very intimate boutique restaurant somewhat hidden in Snider Plaza. Reservations are probably required, but highly recommended anyway as the place fills up quickly. We had the most attentive waiter who let us be when we wanted to be left alone, and was there any time we needed him. Very professional. Very homey though, too. And the food was wonderful - my New York Strip was perfect and my wife's salad and soup were wonderful. The wine selection is not exhaustive, but is well chosen - I'm a fan of meritage wines and they had an excellent one. Felissa is there herself watching over it all. We'll be back. Highly recommended. Pros: Wonderful food and service Cons: ($$$), but worth it. more
