These guys are great. I have used a lot of plumbing service companies over the years and they are the best. They always show up, they are knowledgeable and friendly. They don't flat-rate but only charge for the time they spend on my jobs. (I have rental properties). They deal effectively with the tenants which is not easy in some cases. Evan Conklin answers the phone and has saved me much time and money with his free advice and consultations. I highly recommend this company. more

They answered the phone, showed up on time, repaired the pipe under my toilet, and charged me a little less than they quoted on the phone. The mechanic Jack was obviously skilled. I would use them again for sure. more

I used Evan Conklin Plumbing & Heating 5 times now in the last 2 years (I have rental properties here in Seattle). They are absolutely the best plumbers. I used them for repairing my broken heating system yesterday and they were very knowledgeable, and not as costly as I thought they might be. I have used them for a water heater change, a blocked sewer main and a new kitchen sink and faucet. They excelled at everyjob i have given them. I tried a other plumbing companies over the years and I was discouraged until I found Evan Conklin. They charge on a time basis - no hustle or sales hype. The get in, do the job and they know what they are doing. I can't say the same for others I have used. They really are wonderful to deal with. more

Gary from Evan Conklin Plumbing just came and did a great job repairing and replacing leaking pipes under the kitchen sink. He also did another repair a couple months back, and I appreciate the response time, service and good work we've received. We'll call again next time. more

The very very efficient, polite and quite skilled. The bill was much less than quoted by other companies over the phone. I especially liked that I knew exactly how much they were charging me for the first quarter hour including their travel time ($39.95). They only charge for the time actually on the jb - I liked that. Very reasonable. I would definitely use them again. more

great boiler guys, fast, nice, and a few lose ends but they came back to take care of them I think its just busy times here in Seattle with all the construction going on? Evan is great and I was not charged for the quote however maybe thats because I used him without calling another plumber? I hired Evan Conklin Plumbing to do a waterline to a house I was selling. I was on an extremely tight timeline due to the closing date and they were able to fit me in on a couple days notice. The crew showed up right when I was told they would and completed the job quickly. Everyone I dealt with from this company was straightforward and polite. The crew showed obvious concern in getting my yard back to looking as good as possible after the trenching. I was trying them due to other positive reviews and a great quote. They are a family business, not a shop with a bunch of plumbers working commission jobs driving new trucks with advertising all over them. The lack of commission and advertising overhead allows them to charge fair rates for their labor. In my case, their quote was less than 50% of what the people buying my house got quoted by one of the big name national outfits. I still live in the city and will use them for all my future plumbing needs. more

After getting three bids for some bath remodel work in my home in Magnolia, Evans Conklin Plumbing gave me a bid 30% less than the other two. I think it was because he actually sent out the plumber that would be doing the work (as compared to a salesman). The work was done in two days as they said, and the men working here were clean, courteous and I didn't mind leaving them in my house while I ran an errand. I would use them again without a second thought. I wish other service companies were as pleasant to work with. more

I called to make an appointment for a review of our downtown commercial property. Evan himself answered the phone and agreed to send someone out to look. He said he'd charge $150 for that one-hour review. I was desperate to find a good plumber so I accepted on the phone. A couple of days later I found a very reputable plumber who was willing to do the walk-through for free. After all the goal of the walk-through was a bid for work to be done later. I realized that Evan Conklin was a bit pricey(that's an understatement). I called Evan the day before the appointment and canceled. Somehow Evan didn't hear that message (he says he only received this message two days later, after the end of this story). One of Evan's plumbers showed up the day after the original appointment. My partner was at the property thought this was the plumber who was providing a free bid -- somewhat baffled she paid Evan's plumber Gary $168.43 for a one-hour walk-through which produced a one-line estimate for $1,200 without any details. She was baffled. I was baffled. I called Evan. Evan has a different story and thinks this was a fair deal. I leave it up to the reader of this little story to decide whether you'd like to do business with Evan. P.S.: Evan is keeping his $168.43, and I am writing this off as one big mistake. more

I used this plumbing service twice. Evan always sends two people - an experienced one and someone being mentored (half price for that guy). The first two were fast and knowledgeable. The other two - well, the older experienced guy was slow and seemed more interested in complaining about things. For example, my friend who did the tiling had specifically called Evan to ask how close he should tile to the pipe and Evan said to leave an inch. What Evan meant was to leave an inch of space in the flooring around the pipe so the new flange could fit - but still tile up to that space. The plumber guy started complaining about how my tile was not up to the hole. I explained he had checked with Evan so it was obviously a miscommunication issue. The plumber then insisted that my tile guy must have been lazy not to tile up to it. Not only did my friend do an amazing job with the tile, but he was looking out for me. This guy sure wasn't - as evidenced by the fact that he SCRATCHED 8 TILES when installing the bathroom sink. The new tiling was the whole point of the remodel, and now I need to get those replaced. more

I found them in this list and they came very fast (when others said it would take days), were courteous, did a good job. Reasonable rates. I'm very pleased. more

Arrived on time, clean courteous and knew what they were doing. Their price was about 20% less than the next closest bid on a $1500.00 bid for new copper work. I definately will us them again. more
