After years of rip off service at Ravenna Motors, I took my 2000 Volvo to Elliott Goodyear on Elliott. They always found the cause of problems and gave fair prices. Everyone I have dealt with there has been professional and friendly. more

They did a 90k service on my subaru for about a 3rd of the cost of what the dealer would have charged and provided a loaner car for the day . Great service. more

The Crew at Elliott Tire are great people to deal with. I took my car in to the shop for a brake noise. They got it in and checked it out and told me that I needed new brake pads. But what Iliked most is they took me out to the shop and showed me and explained why. No other shop has ever done this for me. Well I dropped my car off in the morning and said that I needed an oil change, the front brakes replaced, and the service engine soon light came on so I needed that diagnosed. I got a call at about 11 saying the estimate for the repairs needed was going to be $3200. I was shocked, and told him not to do anything because I might just go ahead and trade it in instead of have the repairs done, but I had to take another call and told him i would call him back. When I called back he finished telling me what repairs the car would need above and beyond what i dropped it off for. After some disscussion he said that he could take off some of the work and get it down to $1971. I was still not going to spend that kind of money on a car that was only worth $7,000. Finally he said OK just doing the bare bones (which coincidentally is exactly what I asked them to do) The bill was $1233. When I brought a coupon in he told me that he put a fuel filter in for an additional $6 and that he gave me a discount for that and that he is only allowed to give a maximum discount of $50 and that already exceeded the $50. It was all BS because when I just went over the charges right before writing this there was no discount for the fuel filter, he charged full price $71. He did not give me any of the discounts on the coupon. I had a coupon for $39 engine light diagnosis, he charged me $95. I had a coupon for free brake inspection and $20 off any brake repair, I didnt get a $20 discount. I had a coupon for a $19.99 oil change, however I was charged $29.99 plus a $10 hazardous waste disposal. Dont bother bringing a coupon with you they wont accept them and they will try to do all kinds of "preventative Maintenance" to your car and charge you an arm and a leg. There are more reputable places out there, I reccomend you try and find any other place than here. more

Unfair for the qualified mechanics (Who are not the favorites) employed @ Elliott Tire & Services in Ballard. I went in not to long ago to get new tires... Ended up getting new breaks as well - was upset to see two techs motionless as a tire kid did the work on my vehicle! My Neighbors and I agree that there is a lot going on there that is unjust especially with the economy the way it is... For shame on store managers! Other than that, the services were done well. Maybe fine for tires only. They will always find something else that must be done. In my case they said it was dangerous to drive due to loose idler arms on both side. They could put 2 guys on it and fix it right away for an additional $850 on top of the $450 that I was paying for 4 new tires because I had a nail hole in one and he would not repair it, and told must buy 4 new as all wheel drive. Fine, I said no, drove to my mechanic who checked it all, said it had been replaced at one time and absolutely did not need it. He said they would do it twice on each side if they could! Dont let them do mechanical work unless you are sure it really needs it! Good luck more

I took my audi tt In for new Tires and alignment . They had my car done on time. They also pointed out that my rear shocks were bad.The dealer over looked and told me I should take it back to them for free replacemet under warr. Thanks guys at Elliott for your Great service. more

Rip-off central pure and simple. Asked for a tire rotation and a window put back on track. Was told no problem. Three hours later the guy at the desk brings me to my car -- a perfectly working 96 Nissan Sentra -- with tires off and an estimate list a page long that totaled $1,800 AFTER scratching about $1000 of other needless work, including $95 just for pulling off the door panel to assess the window, which they didn't even have the part to fix! The coup de gras was when the guy insisted I need four new tires, including replacing two which were practically new. My sincere advice -- STAY AWAY!! more

I wanted to take this time and thank the staff and Crew of Elliot good year and tire, for the honesty and extremely prompt work. I wanted to personally thank Ben the manager for being extremly knowledgable and honest, something that I feel is hard to find in the automotive world. I know I'm in good hands the few times my car has needed work. I will continue to see Ben and his friendly crew in the future and reccomend anyone with car problems to do the same. Thanks again more

I am writing this review on my mothers behalf. This place is as bad as it gets. She took her van into the Ballard auto center because of a dead battery and alternator. They came back with a list of so called critical items including an engine rebuild, new radiator and water pump. My mother is not car savy to say the least. Over $4,000+ billed and 2 weeks later, she still does not have her van. The manager keeps giving excuses on why the work isn't complete and adds new problems to the list. The latest explanation is that they screwed up on the rebuild and have no idea when it will be ready. I am helping her file a complaint with the BBB and city attorney general. I would strongly discourage anyone from brining their vehicles here for repair. more

After posting a very bad review for these folks I have been receiving e-mails from time to time telling me a new review has been posted. The wave of five star reviews is impressive, if not frought with spelling errors and being somewhat dubious given a shout to particular employees. I have worked on many cars during my lifetime. One five star review claims to have been told by another shop that a front end needs replaced. A bad front-end is not a condition or a diagnosis, yet it led here to a 5 star rating for replacing tires and an alignment. I'll be the first to admit that I'm still pissed off by being ripped off by this place. So, let me leave you with this...If the bays at Elliot tire are clean and somebody appears to be doing something in each one, that's an improvement over what I experienced. Can their mechanics do any better than this shade tree wrench turner? Blackjack may be the same odds. more

Great service I took my toyota in after another shop told me I needed a new frt end that my suspension was shot the car was all over the road. After about 15 min the people at Elliott told me I needed 2 new tires and alignment on my car.That the frnt end did not need overhauled. After the 2 tires were install and aligned the car was back to it's normal self. Thanks for the honest service . Peter more

My Ladrover quit running aaa towed it to Elliott Auto They were able to get it repaired and running in a short piriod of time. It was just a loose ground wire that the dealer did not tighten wile they had it in for service. Thanks Waide and David for the prompt and great service. these guys didn't even have the basic tools for emissions test, so they just replaced parts at random, waste of time, went back for testing "FAILED". DO NOT TRUST THEM, I spent several hundred dollars for service and parts that did not fix my car. Another shop laughed and said many people have had the same experience there and its well known among the emissions test locations that these guys don't fix your car. more
