without doubt, the BEST beef fajitas ever - i have a bunch of friends who prefer lupe or papasitos. they must be delusional!!! el tiempo slays them both HANDS DOWN! there is simply no comparison. AND id put the frozen margaritas among the top 3 in town. i dont however largely reccomend anything else on the menu (all tends to be a bit "over cheesed" - for lack of a better word) Pros: beef fajitas, margaritas Cons: other menu items tend to be high in "goo" more

man this the best mexican restaurant in all texas. Service is incredible no matter what other people say, dont believe them. margaritas are strong but tasty. Recomend you more than one. And dont forget the food... Man that DELUX MIX GRILL is the best i have ever eaten in all my life... you get treaty nice.. good valet...and sitted quick... i recomend this restaurant to anybody Pros: food , service, atmosphere Cons: nothing more

TIME FOR ANOTHER STAFF MEETING 1/16/2006

My comments are this: Managers, get your staff together and discuss possibly sending all staff to a training seminar once in a while. Wait staff, bartenders, bussing staff, including the managers need to be able to handle a busy and popular place like El Tiempo. Your food is very good, a bit pricy, but worth it, your drinks are outstanding, but you need to be competitive in every way in order to continue with your success. If not, word gets around and soon you will find yourself wondering, "what happened?" First rule: Advise your staff not to talk about tips in front of the clientele. Many of the customers are in a tipping type of service and it is very rude and distasteful. Keep your comments to yourselves or talk about it AFTER the restaurant closes. The best fajitas in Houston, especially their steak fajitas. I usually split the steak fajitas and rib (castillas) combo, and the ribs are actually VERY good. Portions are big, so it is good to share. The price is reasonable, too, and I always end up spending more on booze than food. Their margaritas are the best, but extremely potent, so beware! The one on Richmond can get pretty packed on the week-end, but the wait normally isn't too long and you can occupy yourself with a margarita. Pros: fajitas and ribs, margaritas, service more

The food here is the bomb and the only proof you need to know that this place is the best in Houston is how damn crowded and alive it is inside on a thursday night. The food here is great. If you are a crab lover, you have to try the crab enchiladas. It is a great place to show off to a friend or your co-workers. Presentations are very eye appealing! We love it. The margaritas at this restaurant are sooo good you really don't know how LETHAL they are till it's too late. It reminds me of dinking trash can punch many years ago, you really can't tell youre buzzed until you find yourself talking louder and feeling a little warm all over. 1 max at lunch or the rest of the day could end up blown off!!!!
