East India Grill

I've been to East India Grill a couple of times and both times ended up frustrated and angry! Don't be fooled by available tables; the kitchen gives priority to take-out orders (a lot of them) so diners at the tables wait a long, LONG time to get food. After the first time, I was still willing to give them another chance, but I just got back from the worst restaurant outing in several years. The waiter was inattentive, then rude and brusque when we asked to order. After waiting almost an hour for our food to arrive, we inquired about what was taking so long and were informed that the order had not even been submitted. No sign of apology or remorse on the part of the manager or any of the staff - we walked out. Please, save your time and money and go somewhere you'll actually get served! I've been to several Indian restaurants and none of them beat East India Grill in terms of taste. My favorite dishes are the Baigan Bharta and Chicken Tikka Masala. True, the service is sometimes a little slow, but the waiter's always make sure to compensate for that with their sweet and helpful demeanor. The staff is Indian behind and beyond the counter, which adds to the restaurant's authenticity. To top it all off, the patio is lit up by a canopy of twinkling lights-perfect for hot summer nights.
