I've been to dass at peremeter mall a few times. I found a colorist I really liked and she left. I feel like there is a very high turn over rate watch is kinda scary. I always felt like now one really cared about you. I was just sent form person to person. One did my color, a different person did my shampoo, then another did my cut. No very personable. I would not go here! So I found a new salon , Moda salon and spa, and they treat you like you want to be treated like a person. Oh and my apponiment is always schelded right at moda. I will never be back to dass. It's not worth my money!!! Cons: No conveint parking ever, unfriendly, color is horrable more

I was a regular client at the Don Shaw Mall of Georgia location for over 5 years and for most of that time period, I was very happy with my cut, color and style. However, the last few times I was at Don Shaw Mall of Georgia I had an unpleasant experience, which I think is unacceptable considering how outrageously expensive this salon is. The last time I had an appointment, like several other reviewers mentioned, I was double-booked with other clients and I was at the salon for over 4 hours just to receive partial highlights and a trim! Also, the colorist did a good job with my highlights, but she noticed I was pregnant and then proceeded to lecture me during the entire coloring process that, since I'm preganant, I should be married and kept asking me all these questions about my personal life that were clearly none of her business. I wanted to 'go off' on her, but I was afraid she'd ruin my hair-if I did. So, I just sat there, embarassed and fuming. There is a big turn over, which I sure happens with alot of salons, but if I found a sylist I liked, they either left, or quickly raised their prices to amounts that were just outrageous. My sister still goes to this salon and pays over $200 for highlights and a trim of an already short haircut. Ridiculous - especially in this economy! After a mistake in booking, Don Shaw ended up cutting my hair. I didn't make a big deal but he noticed I didn't look happy. I explained and he certainly didn't have to do it himself as another stylist was available. He clearly wanted to do whatever it took to make sure I was a satisfied client. He did a great job and I am really happy with my new style. more

Terrible and very scary. I just had my hair colored yesterday. This morning I woke up with red welts on the side of my face and and my entire head is burning. I called the phone number on the card I took from the salon and when I called I was told I had reached the main center and that I could not be forwarded to the salon in Buford, GA where I got my hair done and that I could not have the number to call there. I was told that is how they do business. I told the girl I was in much pain from my scalp burning and I needed to talk with a manager since I was told the hair colorist who did my hair was not in today. She stated she would have someone call me back. Six hours later I still had no call back and my scalp was burning all day and I had become more concerned about the situation. I called again and was told someone would call me back. I informed the girl on the phone that I wanted to talk to a manager at her call center and she connected me with the manager (I do have a list of all the people and times I called but don't feel it necessary to put in writing at this time -I FEEL IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KEEP A LIST ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE GETTING THE RUN AROUND) who told me she could put me into someone elses voicemail. I asked her if she understood I was in pain and she said she would put me in voicemail. As I was talking with her she either disconnected me or attempted to put me in someones voicemail. At this point I just started crying. I received a call about30 minutes later from one of the girls at the salon I got my hair done at and she stated that the manager that was in this morning should have called me and that she would contact her by cell phone and have her call me right back. It is 10:00PM and no one has contacted me. I am extremely worried about the condition of my scalp and the longtime effects of the burns. I have been unemployed for some time, do not have insurance but tomarrow may try to have to find money to get to a doctor. This is unbelievable. more

I don't know about the hair salon, but according to the reviews it seems that there are a lot of people not happy with the quality of service. I can tell you that Don Shaw owes me $13,743.17 for work I have done at his home in down town Atlanta. Its to bad I had to place a lien on his house because he just could'nt communicate with me in a civil manner and of coarse would'nt pay for our outstanding work. I have never had anyone so difficult to work with in 15 years! No wonder no one is happy with their hair! more

I could have colored my hair at home and gotten better results. I am now having to go to another salon to have my hair fixed. Staff was not friendly. This was the worst experience in a salon I have ever had and have told all my friends to not go to any Don Shaw location. It is a shame as I am sure Don Shaw himself is not aware of how bad the color techs and staff are at this salon is. It has moved into the mall and has been downgraded to below Supercuts. I should have just gone down the way to Regis to get a cut and color at least I would have gotten a hello from the staff. \r \r I can not imagine that Don Shaw would allow such bad color techs to work for him. Obviously he needs to be more involved in the hiring of his staff. Cons: Color Tech was not good at all; Staff not nice more

Horrible! Horrible! Beware of this Salon!\r \r Colorist ruined my hair. Melissa at Perimeter location made my roots 2 shades lighter than rest of my hair and proceeds to tell me "" Oh we need to fix this I can not let you go out like this people will think you are weird"" She is telling me a client this! 3 Hours later after sitting with my head in a shampoo bowl for over 2 hours I had enough. My scalp was pink and sore and it still was not fixed. I had to go and pay anohter salon $90 to have the problem corrected. Everytime i go to this salon something changes for the worse. They have a very high turn-over rate and no longer allow you to put tips on your credit card. You actually have to make an extra trip to the ATM to go to this salon. I went in this weekend to find out that they no longer accept american express, either. A bigger and flashier spa can make you feel alienated but my stylist always remembers me even though I come in every 3 months. She always starts with a great consultation and fantastic final results. Definately ask for Molly. Front desk staff could use some warming up, I always hate when there's no acknowledgment after you walk in the door. But when you get past them the shampoo people are very friendly and contrary to the other reviews I've never had to wait with Molly, she's always on time. I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance to have my hair styled and makeup done for a Christmas Party. I arrived 15 minutes early and 1-1/2 hours later they started with me.... The lady who was to style my hair took a break and another person after she was told I was waiting... The only good thing out of this was the hair looked good and the make-up artist, was great. She noticed that I had been waiting and did my make up first..the ONLY person who paid attention to anything. It was NOT worth the MONEY or the WAIT. I went to Don Shaw to have my hair colored. It ended up horrible! It was supposed to be red, but the front and roots ended up gothic black. They were congenial in correcting it later. My roots ended up burned, despite two deep conditioning treatments. The color was fine when I left, but I discovered that the entire back of my shirt was ruined due to bleach running down. I was promised I would get a call back. Three days later and four calls later, no one has had the courtesy to return my calls. No one seemed to be apologetic that I had to come back to get it fixed and my hair was burnt in the process. Not worth it! Cons: bad customer service, BAD customer service more

I've gone to DASS for years - primarily b/c I haven't found another stylist to replace the one I have now that is so-so. My chief complaint about this place is the double-booking. You go in for an 11:30 appt and at 11:45, your stylist is still working on the previous client. At 12:10, you sit in the chair, and 5 mins later, another client sits down next to her. This happens EVERY time I come for a cut or color. They seem to let walk-ins come in and displace those that had an appt and were already there. You can park Valet at Perimeter and they'll stamp you. Pros: location, new salon Cons: Long wait time, herding mentality more
