Is this the real Disney 5/29/2009

Went to this resort to spend some time with family. Ate dinner at Flying Fish, was okay, nothing worth bragging about! Did some shopping at ESPN Arcade and a store that sells Disney clothing items. Most employees very unfriendly except one lady working at ESPN ARCADE. She greeted us and was extremely helpful. Took the time to spend a few moments with our kids. Other than that, the rest of the employees seemed "lost!" We were looking for an item to take back home to our son-in-law when a manager came into the store and in front of us, started giving an employee a really hard time, almost yelling. When the manager left, feeling sorry for this employee I asked if everything was alright and the reply was that what I saw was the usual fare at this resort. The resort, itself is a beautiful place, but the majority of people we had contact with seemed to be most unfriendly and really didn't care if we were there or not and certainly what we experienced would have Walt Disney, fuming! more

Disney's Board Walk! 4/16/2006

I have not stayed at Disney's Boardwalk Hotel, located in Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, so I can not comment on the accommodations, but it is a Deluxe Disney Property Resort. Disney went all out here and made another beautiful resort. The neat feature here is the Board Walk- it is lined with nightlife, restaurants and shops to keep you busy. It also has lots of free standing entertainment that you would find on an Northeastern Board Walk. Don't forget to make a stop here while in Disney World! more

Fun & games at the Boardwalk 4/5/2006

Just outside of Epcot, Disney’s Boardwalk is a great place to spend the evening. There is a nice choice of restaurants to dine at and a few shops to pick up some souvenirs. There are traditional boardwalk games on the boardwalk for kids to enjoy. There are also face painters, booths to get hair wraps, bike rentals and a few other surprises. At the end of the boardwalk is a great dance club for the adults to unwind. more

Fun and relaxing 3/27/2006

What a great area! The Boardwalk is between MGM Studios and Epcot and is reminiscient of a turn of the century Atlanit boardwalk. There are games, table service restaurants, counter service restaurants, a great bakery and candy shop, and other shopping. You can rent surreys, somne of which are for six people, and they have a piano bar and a dance club. It is so nice to just walk around next to the water. The Boardwalk is one of the hidden treasures at WDW that most people miss when they only focus onthe parks. more

Reminds me of an old boardwalk resort area 10/3/2005

This place screams authenticity! I spent many summers in Ocean City, MD at the boardwalk and this resort is completely reminiscent of that. The resort and villas themself are adorable, and the boardwalk provides all the joys and sights of a real turn of the century boardwalk. There are often street performers, you can rent surreys to ride, there are old fashioned ice cream parlors and bakeries, and there is an array of great restaurants and entertainment venues. The location is great with boat transportation to Epcot and MGM. more

Beautiful hotel, very close to Epcot 9/27/2005

We've stayed in this hotel a few times, and it's like (what I would imagine it would be like) walking into a grand resort in the early 1900's. The Boardwalk is designed to be like old Coney Island, complete with carnival games and pedal cars. The rooms are nicely decorated, average in size. Request a room that does not face the boardwalk if you want some quiet, some of the rooms facing the boardwalk can be noisy. And, if you know someone with a vacation club, stay in the villas. Some are just a short walk from MGM, so you could potentially walk to both Epcot and MGM from your hotel room (if you don't mind walking, that is - you can also take a convenient boat.) If you are a runner, the boardwalk area is one of the best places to run in Walt Disney World. more

really fun atmosphere moments from the magic 8/18/2005

We love the atmoshpere at the Boardwalk. The outside decor is beautiful!! The pool is very fun and kid friendly. We love that it is steps from many great restaurants including ESPN zone. We also love that it puts us so close to MGM and EPCOT. The Boardwalk has so many incredible perks! It is one of our favorites within the Disney area. more
