When we walked onto the lot, the first person to greet us went directly up to my boyfriend, shook his hand, and pretty much ignored me. Annoying, since I'm the one buying the car. Luckily he wasn't our salesman. We ended up working with Brandon, who was very helpful and didn't make the same assumptions about who would be writing the check. Brandon understood that I already knew what I wanted, didn't try to change my mind, took us on a couple of test drives, was respectful and personable, answered all of my questions straightforwardly, and helped me through the process of buying my Jetta, which I absolutely love btw. Aside from that first guy, (who we only dealt with for a couple of minutes so they still get 5 stars), everyone here was friendly and professional. As far as certified used Jetta's go, I shopped around and they had the best selection and prices. Also, I'm an Oregon resident; tax free was very easy. (And for the people who think the employees are posting fake reviews, the employees do ask their customers to leave reviews on here if we were happy with our experience, which I think is a very fair request. Cort was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable through the whole car buying process. We got a car in great shape with a Certified Pre-owned Warranty through Volkswagen. They also had a 6 month warranty if we didn't buy the extended one. They are a safe and dependable factory dealer who can also take care of your service needs. I love my 02GTi so much that when the time came for my wife to get a new car we went right back to Dick Hannah VW. We bought an 09 Jetta and we love it just as much. The sales team worked with us really well. Neither of us have stellar credit, but we were able to get a good deal on both cars. The service department works quickly and they do a great job. I LOVE the courtesy shuttle! I dropped the GTi off to get some work done one time and they took me back to my house and then picked me up when the work was done! I will be buying from Dick Hannah again. Pros: Accomadating sales team and great customer service. Cons: If you live in Portland it's a good drive. more

First spoke to James over the phone: felt relaxed, informal, and his enthusiasm was great. Drove down within the hour and his determination to make me comfortable did just that. Hannah was recommended to me by someone, and now I feel compelled to openly recommend this dealership. Dick hannah vw has been the best place i have worked with when buying a car. I have lease 2 cars from there in 2 years. I had major problems with my rabbit because i let a buddy at a brake shop work on my car. The parts where not covered. it was going to cost 1200 to fix. They paid the car off and got me in a new 2020 vw jetta for about the same monthly payment. I also just put the 1200 to the new car and they fixed the rabbit at their cost. I know this is not typical but i have a new son and theywanted the best for my family. I worked with alex gilhm great guy easyest sales person i have ever worked with. If you want a vw go see Alex Gilhm and tell him Gary Brewer said he was the only one to work with. My wife, brother and I spent over 9 hours between several car dealerships yesterday. After negotiation after negotiation and hours of watching car salesman walk back and forth through the mysterious doors where they talk amongst themselves to screw you over we got a call back from Ricky while we were looking at Toyota's. Waiting for yet another round of negotiation my brother called Dick Hannah back and spoke with Travis about a 2010 VW Jetta TDI. Basically, we laid down our cards from exhaustion and they offered $100 less for a brand new 2010 Jetta TDI than another dealer quoted us at for the same car with 3700 miles already on it. On top of that, Dick Hannah's Dealership sold this car to me beating the price and having it be an automatic transmission, which usually comes around a ~1k higher price. I think all 3 of us were very satisfied to lock in a great deal before we even drove up to Vancouver to take a look at the TDI. At the very least, if you get a reference point on the price of the car your looking for - go to a different dealership and then call Travis or Ricky up at Dick Hannah VW and see what they can do for you. They both were very helpful and had a good sense of humor throughout the entire process. Like I said, if you don't go up to Dick Hannah first, call them second to see what they can do - they sure impressed me on the total price of the car I bought just over the phone. When each review calls out the full name of the sales people, and how amazingly helpful they were... gee, I wonder what's going on! Donna was fantastic to work with. This had to be the most laid back/easy Auto transaction I have ever encountered. The deal was done very quickly and she let me know what was going on every step of the way. I got exactly what I wanted at exactly the price I wanted as well... no back and forth. I was trying to purchase a new TDI from a dealer in Salem could not get them to call me back. After a week I called Dick Hannah VW in Vancouver Spoke with the New Car Manager Abdu very pleasant I explained what had happend and what I wanted and he said no problem. The color I wanted was comming in so he told me that Samantha would be calling me with the details. Samantha was right on it and within 5 days Samantha picked me up at the Airport took me back to the dealership and I picked up my new car. The service was great and the people were super! Bought a very nice used Passat from Ricky and we were very pleased with his easy going manner. He was very new to sales and didn't have all the answers to our questions, but was very diligent in tracking the answers down. The service Dept. has been exceptional in their handling of any problems that have arisen and very accommodating of our needs. Pros: Diligent sales staff, GREAT service dept.
