Dick Hannah Volkswagen

I purchased my vehicle yesterday at Dick Hannah, Vancouver and was so impressed with the low key, no pressure salesperson. I was looking for a used VW New Beetle, I found one in their inventory. I contacted Dick Hannah via email and quickly had a response from Heather James, sales associate. We had a four hour drive to get there, but it was worth it. She was pleasant, no pressure, very nice and very patient. I really don't like car shopping because of the high pressure sales approach, it did not happen with Heather. I would highly suggest to anyone to use her for any of their VW needs!! more

Went to Dick Hannah Volswagen the other day to locate a used car I had been in the market for. It was there and with the test drive and the assistance of a great salesman I was able to nab the deal and drive it home that very day. Thus far this may sound about normal. However I drove out from Hillsboro, OR by myself to see the car. VW Super Salesman Ricky Ballantyne made this happen for me by driving my vehicle behind me with another service attendant driving a company car all the way from Vancouver to Hillsboro, OR just to have me home with the new vehicle. By anyone's account this is ABCD (Above & Beyond the Call of Duty) and was very much appreciated, as well the smooth nature of the deal. Thanks Ricky! more

I went in yesterday to the Portland location to check out cars after corresponding with Dawn over email in the morning. When I got there, she was great from the beginning! She showed me the car I was initially interested in, and then some others in my range. I'm glad she did, because I'm now the proud owner of an 08 Jetta! She was kind, attentive to my needs, and not at all intimidating. The purchasing process was very smooth, with everyone from the sales manager to the business manager and I drove my car off the lot the same day! All in all a great experience. more

I bought my little VW Bug at Dick Hannah's a few weeks ago. They were very nice, helped me get the car I came for. Sammy was the one who helped us and he was very very nice. Answered all our questions patiently, was very knowledgeable about VW's, showed us everything and explained everything there is to know about the VW Bug and I think appreciated my love for the Bug. He was very respectful, not pushy and helped me get my dream car. Everybody we came into contact with was very helpful and explained even the littlest detail. I came into Dick Hannah VW just wanting to browse, I was in the market for a car, I just wasn't sure which or what to choose. I've been to a lot of other dealerships and nothing stood out as much as Dick Hannah VW's Sammy. He is a sales person at this VW store. He really knew the product and explained and answered all my questions thoroughly. He was very professional and respectful, not pushy or aggressive like others that I've come into contact with. He was very patient with me and took his time to show me all that they had, all the while knowing I was not going to make a decision today. But I felt no hold back or doubt like all the other times I've contemplated buying a car. I finally bought a car from him and loved his dedication and hard work with me. It is with great regret that I am not likely going buy another car from Dick Hannah, and may never buy another Volkswagen. Let me frame my explanation by highlighting the fact that what distinguishes a good dealership from a bad one, and establishes brand reputation, is not how well a car is sold. Sure, sales staff must be welcoming and courteous, perceivably genuine and trustworthy, and impart a feeling on the consumer that he or she has made a good decision. After all, the decision to buy a car is a big one, and the sales staff is the keeper of that process. But ultimately, selling a car is not difficult. If a salesperson meets the basic psychological and financial needs of the shopper, and that person intends on purchasing a vehicle, a sale is imminent. Therefore, dealership and brand reputation aren?t etched in stone the moment the papers are signed, they are developed over time. As of today my car has 2250 miles on it and I have owned it for approximately 60 days. Because this review only allows for 200 characters (and I need 2000 words), for the sake of efficiency I am simply going to list my issues. - Alignment problem. Took 4 visits to dealer to get it fixed. -Leaky tail light dumping water into trunk. Car was at dealer 4 days to fix. - Rough washing at dealer put scratches in car. Car was in an extra day from tail light issue so that scratches could be buffed out. -Small dent in the door upon returning to pick up vehicle (another appointment for this Thursday to get that repaired) -Sales staff basically said that being the owner of a car under warranty, alignment and leaky tail light issues were between me an service department (no consideration for the fact that the car had under 2k miles). -At NO time has the organization been receptive to the fact that a new car owner should no be having these issues. This has been a miserable experience for me and I will not be a 'customer for life.' I have made 5 trips to the dealer and been out of a car for 9 of 60 days since purchasing my car. This has been very stressful and time consuming. I am going to sell this car as soon as I can (even if it means at a loss) simply to end my relationship with Dick Hannah and Volkswagen. more

My wife and I were very picky on the type of car we wanted. Cort Bailiff contacted us and showed us around. He understood that we weren't going to be pressured into a car we didn't want and he didn't try to. He showed us some vehicles that we may like and we left. We came back just an hour later and bought one of the cars he had showed us. We really appreciated the no pressure approach. more

I love working with the people at Dick Hannah Volkswagen (Vancouver, WA). I worked with Scotty Hilltz to find the Tiguan or Toureg I wanted. After driving many of the new and used vehicles, Scotty helped me get an amazing new vehicle, the 2011 VW Tiguan which is unbelievably comfortable and feels very safe to drive. Scotty worked with me to get the financing thorugh VW and I was able to walk out of VW with ease of paperwork, trading in my car, and feeling very good about the deal.
