Poor Customer Service 8/11/2011

This was my first experience with a bailbonds man and I have to say it was a nightmare because of Cowboys. There advertisement for $2,500. instant credit is false. We were told different stories each time we spoke with someone. Anytime someone needs to use a bailsbond man it is a diffcult time. It would have been helpful for Cowboys to explain the procedures to us. They are quick to take your money and the not provide the service. I will never recommend them and I found another company that was able to help me. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY....... more

One Word: Incompetent. Every step of the way. 10/7/2010

My experience with Cowboy Bail Bondsman was about as bad as it gets. From the convoluted sign-up, to the uniformed employees, to the apathetic management. There is no service with Cowboy. They took my money for two bonds, then proceeded to drop them without notice and then continued to call me for my court dates, even though I hadn’t been bonded there for two months. Stay away from Cowboy Bail Bondsman, unless you like having to buy bonds elsewhere after you find out that they have dropped your bond. The only way to know if Cowboy has dropped your bond is by asking your lawyer or when you find out you have a warrant. They can’t even tell by looking at their own system. Do yourself a big favor and keep looking for a real bondsman that can actually help you. more

Cowboy Bail Bonds 5/11/2009

We received excellent service in a timely manner. It can be quiet upsetting while posting a bond for a friend or loved one. The people at Cowboys are very calming and patient, as well as informative, as what to expect. James expedited our bond. We would definitely recommend them. You can call them a friend. Pros: Very nice people more

Another side of the story... 12/6/2008

I had never been to jail. Worse than that...none of my friends or family had either. We had no clue what to do. Cowboys Bail Bonds came to the rescue during one of the worst life experiences you can have. One minute you are driving home from work and the next minute you are in jail! My friends and I were guided through the process. We listened to what Cowboys would do for us and what we needed to do to resolve the problems quickly and completely. It is more than just getting out of jail. Getting bailed out of jail does not magically erase what got you there in the first place...you just have the freedom to take care of your responsibilties. Maybe get your current address on your drivers license? more

Play Fair 11/14/2008

First of all I thought this site was to review the service received by consumers not to make slanderous remarks about individual people. I have read some reviews that are good about this company and others not so good but everybody is entitled to their own opinion depending on the service they received however, I read one review from "madindallas" speaking about the owner of the company, Buckley Chappell and I have got to tell you that the way you described him sounds very out of character for the B. Chappell I know. I use to work for Cowboy bail Bonds and before I worked for them I worked for several bond companies and let me say that the way he handles his business outranks every other bond company I know. He is very diligent when it comes to customer service and he will bend over backwards to help you out. I have known him for over 10 years, I know that the person you described is not the Buckley Chappell I know. I am sorry that you got in your words "some really crummy service by Cowboy Bail Bonds" but I am sure that if you dealt with Mr. Chappell he tried every way possible to work it out to your benefit. Again, like I said earlier I do not believe you should use these review sites to attack an individual but should use them regarding the service provided you, but in your review you went on and on about how terrible and awful Mr. Chappell was,as you gave your opinion, I will give mine I believe that whatever your issue is you have a personal issue with Mr. Chappell himself and it is not fair you tarnish somebody's rep or business like you have tried to do in your review. I knew Mr. Chappell before he opened his first bond office and the morals and ethics he has always shown have never been compromised especially when it comes to his business. He has always been a straight shooter and plays the game fairly. I would urge you to re-examine your review because it could be considered defamation of character with the way you have tried to slander his name. more

Cowboy Bail Bonds has UNETHICAL business practices!!! 6/27/2008

We posted bail for a family member who followed through by attending his court date, etc. We did everything correct and by the book; however, Cowboy Bail Bonds filed a LIEN against our property!!!!! even though they had no right to do so. BEWARE of this company. Pros: The service was okay Cons: They are unethical! more

Poor Service 5/27/2008

I posted a bond for my boyfriend using this company on 02/01/08. I paid $150 for a criminal charge and $475 in unpaid tickets. They never informed me that we would still have to contact the city to schedule a court date for the tickets. Within a 24 hour period, I visited this business on three separate occasions, never once did they mention that any additional steps were necessary to resolve the traffic tickets.. On March 18th he had a court date for the tickets. The problem was that never once was I informed as the person who posted the bond that there would be this additional court date. And, the letter was sent to the incorrect address. They tried to say that it was my fault and that I provided them the incorrect address and so they couldn't refund us our money. After I requested to see the original paperwork with my writing and proved that I in fact provided them the correct address. They quickly pointed out that we should have known that he would have an additional court date for his tickets (I have never have unpaid traffic tickets nor have I ever been arrested so of course I do not know the procedure) and that it does not matter because they do not give refunds. The issue has been escalated all the way to the owner of the company and I am still awaiting a response. Pros: Posted Bonded Almost Immediately Cons: Still Have Issues With Same Tickets Bonded Out On more
