Good food, simple bar 10/27/2009

I love this bar and I love all their food. they have the best nachos in town. And surprisingly enough they put together a pretty amazing hummus plate too! Never had bad food here and the mixed drinks are how I like them, a little strong. Service can be slow or seem unfriendly but I think it's part of their charm. Pros: Food more

Not as good as I remembered 5/24/2008

Saturday night around 9:00. Not busy but service was very slow and inattentive, ""remarkably bad"" according to my companion. Music was too loud. The burger was not fresh or 1/3 lb as advertised. Good cheese and condiments although no mustard was offered. Bun to meat ratio was way too high. Good onion rings and fries but both were over salted. Fish and chips used to be great back in the day. Now, not so much. Tough batter that did not stay on the fish. Cole slaw was okay, nothing special. Lot's of places offer wide selections of beer these days. No reason to return to Cooper's in my opinion. Pros: Not crowded Cons: Bad service more

Great place to watch all the games! 9/28/2007

Cooper's is a very comfortable place with fantastic access to all major sports on the multiple High Definition plasma and projection televisions mounted generously throughout the place. The crowd is young and fun. The food is fantastic traditional pub fare with a few unique dishes mixed in to keep things interesting. Free video games, darts, and pool always provide a distraction if one is needed. The free board games and weekly trivia contests are also good times with friends. Thursday night $2 pints is a popular night too. Check it out on Sunday's for the NFL Sunday ticket where you can pretty much be sure to watch your favorite team in an fun atmosphere full of fantasy football junkies.\r \r In general I like everything about Cooper's Ale House. The beer selection, cocktails (stiff pours I might add), and food are all great. The staff is friendly, and you always feel welcome. Pros: High Definition TV, NFL Ticket, Beer Selection, Friendly Staff, Great Food more

Sweetaz Local pub 9/28/2007

Great food, beer and drinks. Great seasonal brews from winter brew to IPA fest to octoberfest. Steel tip darts boards(4 set up nicely) pool (free on Sun)and trivia Tues.are a must. All the best board games you played as a kid and an adult. Football Sundays rock, all the games you want to see from 10:00 am till the eve. game. The staff rocks till they get slammed then its bar service vs. slow table service. But generally have enough staff on hand to take on any crowd. Food is above average pub grub. Gotta try the chicken Ceaser, the gobbler sandwich, french dip, french bread pizza and kickass buffalo wings. Infamous fish and chips.Great place makes for good times Pros: Beer selection, food and six high def. TV's Cons: Parking is poor until you find all the good spots nearby more

Great Pub Grub and atmosphere 9/28/2007

Cooper's is a classic neighborhood pub. (kinda like Cheers!) You go enough and everyone knows your name...Great place to watch a game(great breakfast bar for Fantasy Football Sundays...) or just kick back..The food is pretty good for a local pub..the service at the bar is great.. it is a warm inviting Pub atmosphere. I recommend Trivia Tuesdays and $2.50 pint Thursdays, these typically draw a fun crowd. Check it out.\r \r more

Try it out... 9/28/2007

Great neighborhood pub and it's not even my neighborhood! Plenty of choices of good beer on tap and the cocktails are tasty. Nice atmosphere to just hang. Plenty of sports viewing as well. Active darts league as well. Stop in some Sunday for Hawks football and enjoy some good food. more

great wait staff! great atmosphere 9/28/2007

Cooper's is one of the best neighborhhood pubs in the city. It's my ""Cheers""\r Love sitting at the bar or with a big group. Everyone feels welcome.\r Fresh jalepeno's on the nacho's no less! \r And the margarita's are the best I have had outside of Mexico! more

Fun Pub 9/24/2007

Cooper's is a great pub with lots of good beer, great drinks made by friendly and fun bartenders, yummy food (too many good things to pick favorites), and a nice crowd. It fun to play darts or pool or board games if you want. It's not too crowded, but gets busier later on the weekends. Trivia on Tuesdays is a good time and challenging. Sunday football is great, with a good breakfast buffet, and lots of fans and cheering for the Seahawks (enough TVs to watch all the games). It seems like a nice well-rounded bar with something for everyone! Pros: Beer selection, food, drinks, service, and fun more

best beer and nachos 9/19/2007

I'm new in town and a coworker recommended Cooper's to me. I really liked how much of a casual place it was. The staff was very friendly and the food was terrific. I had the nachos and they were perfect to me. I tried a few different kinds of beer and I was amazed at the huge selection they had. I was there when there was trivia and I loved how many ""regulars"" there were. You can tell it was a place to hang out with your friends and just have a good time! The atmosphere was inviting.\r I recommend the nachos! Pros: beer selection, atmosphere, food more

eh 9/11/2007

we've been here a few times and every time it just feels weird. this place has good beer, friendly staff, lots of dart boards and board games, but only one pool table. probably the worst music selection on the box i've seen and the crowd is weird...young 20somethings to ""i'm so hot right now"" late 30's to 40somethings...homeboys, preppys, and granola. very strange atmosphere. i really liked the bar food...grilled cheese with fresh tomato or chicken strips. Yum Pros: beer and food Cons: weird people, no parking, bad MUSIC (ick!) more

Great beers 11/20/2006

Excellent beer selection and I think they always had Jolly Roger (one of my personal favorites, but alas a Winter beer) on tap. It's not a real popular place, but can be busy with the neighborhood locals. Decent drinks but I'd recommend the beer options. Decent place to come and watch a baseball game. Pros: Excellent Beer selection, comfortable setting, Cons: Nothing special, not the most trendy place? more

Big Fun 9/12/2003

Cooper's is a classic neighborhood pub. Great place to watch a game, or just hang out. Great food, beer, fun/personable bartenders, and the prices are right. It is not your trashy Tavern, it is a warm inviting Pub atmosphere, that pours a solid cocktail as well. I recommend Thursdays, when any of the great selection of beers are $2.50 a pint, which usually draws a fun crowd. Check it out. Pros: beer selection, great food , atmosphere Cons: parking more

Coop's 4/2/2003

It can be crowded, but I tend to go during quieter times. The food is truly great. The fish and chips are the best in Seattle, no doubt, the nachos are also great (and huge!). The beer selection is awe-inspiring. Great place! Pros: beer selection, full bar, food Cons: can be smoky more

Great Beer and Grub 5/30/2002

Great neighborhood pub. Good pub grub, great beer (21 micro taps + PBR), and stiff drinks. Nachos are the best around and burger is great, too. Huge BBQ Pork appetizer is killer! Six flat screens are always sports-oriented and a great college-radio type jukebox (no top 40, Nickleback, or country etc...). Best dart set-up around with four well lit steel tip boards. Service is friendly at the bar, spotty on the floor. Trivia night on Tuesdays might be the best in town. Tough questions and always packed. Parking's tough but can usually find a spot within a block. Very eclectic crowd. Anywhere from college hipsters to middle aged beer geeks. Not too loud most of the time, but can get very busy Th-Sat. Recommended! Pros: Beer selection, Pub Grub, TV's, Jukebox Cons: Parking, Spotty table service more
