Horrible 12/16/2011

These guys are INCREDIBLY rude. My wife called to simply verify funds on a settlement check we received to replace our wrecked vehicle. First our bank had no luck getting them to even answer the phone. So our bank had no choice but to put a hold on the check for 14 days!! When my wife called and was finally able to get through she was told it was they're policy NOT to verify funds and then when asked to speak to a manager was told they would not transfer to a manager or give out any contact number. Then proceeded to call her a BITCH and hung on her!!! WTF?? I'm right now in the process of a screaming match with 2nd **hole I've been able to contact there. If didnt live in Colorado someone there would be getting a beat down right now! If this is normal for Kansas City then I truly feel sorry for the lot of you. What a shithole bank. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to do business. more

A Nightmare to Deal with 8/23/2009

I had an account in good standing with Commerce for at least ten years until I had some disputed items that I was billed for. Their dispute department did not help me at all to resolve this, even though the charges were to my Visa Logo Debit Card and even though I gave them significant evidence there was never any sort of real inquiry done into my dispute or it would have been resolved. I've talked with others whose bank actually helps them solve disputes but Commerce has a blind eye/ear to helping its customers and is mainly interested in making charges stick, valid or not. As a result I was forced to close my account or else be liable for huge overdraft fees and these bogus charges and now probably can not open any other bank account anywhere. These people were frustrating to deal with, very unfriendly and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Pros: Lots of Branches Cons: Not consumer Friendly more

Bad customer service 5/23/2007

I have been with Commerce for 18 years. I have used Quicken to download my account data for free for at least the last 5 years. Now they are going to start charging me for something they provided for free?.....here is the e-mail I received. FYI, I am leaving the bank as soon as possible,\r \r Thank you for your email.\r \r Unfortunately, due to the new Multifactor Authentication security feature, customers are not able to remotely access MS Money, Quicken or other financial software for downloading. \r \r To utilize Quicken at this time, you may use the manual Download function from the Account Summary page, or to use Quicken to download your information directly into the software, you may sign up for this direct connect service. This service is separate from Online Banking through our web site. To sign up for the service follow these steps.\r \r 1. Go to our home page \r 2. Click on 'online banking'.\r 3. Click on 'Quicken/MS Money' on left side of screen.\r 4. Scroll down and click on 'Download an Application'.\r 5. You will need to print this form, fill it out, and send it in to us.\r 6. Once we receive this form we will mail you your user id and pin number for MS Money direct download. \r \r Keep in mind there is a fee for this service. The fee is $3.00 a month for 8 downloads. Each download after eight is $.35. more
