Club Roxy

This club is legit! Its right off the loop and free parking. I went there with my friends and we all had a great time. They have a huge dance floor and three bars, and they played good music all night! They do charge cover, but its worth it more

I just go there because "i'' get in for free, i dont have to pay for parking,and i only go on Friday because its 75 cents between 9-11pm,4.50 after 11,you cant beat those prices- i cant say much about the Crowd,the Lights,the Music...as i said before i go there because your not gonna beat the Drink prices on a Friday ...you go on a Saturday its 3 dollars all Nite with Drinks, can u beat that? if you go to Roxy alot, u might get Tired of it,u might wana try something New but if u just wana Drink and not Spend alot on Drinks...Roxy is the PLACE! u feelin me? My husband and I decided to go out for Saint Patrick’s Day and we found this club online. We were excited that they played hip/r&b...but we didn't count on what we got when we got there. First off, this club is absolutely the gutter. Most of the women look like paid prostitutes and the men are walking around smoking weed and trying to feel the "prostitutes" up. Just plain tacky. The crowd tends to be thugs and thugettes because they throwing are infatuated with throwing up gang signs and just acting…well hood. Oh, and the drinks are unbelievably expensive. I am an African American female who just moved from Seattle and quite frankly am used to African American clubs with more class. This place is a dump for the rats of the Houston neighborhoods to hang out. Things I didn't like: Paid $20.00 to get into this hellish dump and then told that the second floor is for VIP only. Only the VIP section looks just like the rest of the club a dump. They need to go to LA or ATL to see how a VIP should look. We purchased one glass of X-Rated and my husband had a double of gin and the price a whopping 31.00. ARE U KIDDING ME???? The women look cheap...very cheap. I know people dress sexy when going to the clubs but this is pathetic. Club Roxy is in a strip mall, and they make you pay $5 to park in a lot that doesn't even belong to them. It has other business in it. I'm thinking to myself I'm parking in front on Subway I know you all don't own this. So much more....DO not go here. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR PROFFESIONALS..... I'm 24 and I haven't been to any downtown clubs yet , but as for the clubs that are not downtown where u don't actually have to pay for parking and then pay $20 to get in , I do recommend this club ...it's not down town but it is in a good area..Ladys free b4 11:00 which I love , The crowd is better than most clubs thats inner city , I guess there alittle more mature on Wed. than ur other Wed night jump off spots.. ive been here a few times first off all i just want to say to anyone under 18 dont go here for teen night it isnt fun when i was 15 and 16 i really wanted to go out so i went to the roxy for theyre teen night that takes place every monday night during the summer and its not that great all very crowed, not alot of cute guys and the music is lame. just to be honest more

I recently went to The Roxy after a couple of years this past Saturday and I'd have to tell you I had just as much fun as I did in the past. The drink prices are the best in town and the music is nothing but the top 40 hits. We decided to get a bottle of Grey Goose and we were surprised at how low the price was. It was great! The crowd is a hip, young and trendy crowd. The staff was very friendly even the doorman at the valet entrance, he was so nice even about my friend's out of state ID. Some doormans make a big deal about it and always give people a hard time in exchange for tips but this doorman was great. I have to say that I LOVED my experience there and next time I head out to anywhere I'll make sure it's here! Pros: Drink prices, friendly staff, great atmosphere! If you are 18+ and are going to the club to dance, I would recommend this club. However, if you are 21+ I honestly wouldn't. Friday nights are usually fun, but Saturday can get kind of boring. more

Way too many young kids. Some nights are totally dead, but they charge you a cover and for parking anyway. I'd also say that the parking people are totally shady about how much they're really supposed to charge you. The woman at the front was really rude. On a very crowded night, the whole area near the bathrooms smelled like maybe someone had too much to drink and their stomach emptied it's contents all over the floor, and nobody seemed to care enough to clean it up the whole night. The crowd is never the type I'd want to mix and mingle with, and I'm glad I never went there without at least one man just to be safe. The only decent thing about it is that the music is good. I guess I can't expect much more than that. Oh yeah, the drinks are cheap compared to other clubs/bars, but I wouldn't drive all the way to the Galleria and deal with everything else like the kids, creeps, scams, and rudeness just for some cheap drinks. Tuesday use to be ok, but as some others have said, looked like teen night. After summer, tuesday are pretty dead there. Saturday, however, is good. and doesnt look like teen night. The music is good, playing those hip hop hits and playing a techno song sometimes. My experience is good here, will return some time. Service of course and drinks and their prices are great. Roxy is the most scoolest place to go hang out. The music be jumpin and people there are dancing all night non-stop. So, i suggest to go the Roxy, u won't regret in. Pros: the music is live Cons: smokin more

It has been a few years since I have been to the Roxy, but that club is still packing them in after all of these years. The music was great and the dj had the dance floor packed all night. Bartenders still made strong drinks witch is a plus in my book!!! I guess it is easy to see why this place is still open and still packed. Pros: great dj, great drinks Cons: smokey more

This was definitely nothing spectacular. I heard that Roxy used to be amazing, but it has lost its appeal. The dancers were nice for the most part, but overall it was just OK. more

Being someone w/some kind of class and respect for myself ... this place is the worst place anyone over 21 will even consider going too. I haven't been there since my SR yr in high school and that was only because I couldn't get into any 21 and up clubs. All the LITTLE grls at this place are nothing but a hand full of jail bait. They take their clothes off while acting like drunken strippers and then wanna go crying about being sexually assaulted. In my opinion, you get what you ask for. It's not only the grls though, any mature guy that doesn't just wanna get some won't go here. I know any place like that is OFF limits to my bf. ... It's just so low class and so high school. The Roxy used to be a live place to be. Now too many hot headed kids go there. They have way to many people on that club! Friday nights you can forget it not gonna happen. Ok. Heres the deal. If you want to go to a place where it is extremely crowded and to get to a bathroom would take you 15 minutes because of too many bodies bumping to each other and blocking your waw, then go to this place; otherwise, dont go. Also, dont go like wednesday because the cover is expensive 30 dollars. And the bad thing about this club too is the parking fee is hella expensive; 10 dollars to park on a stupid lot.
