This place closed!! :O( 10/14/2009

I went there yesterday to get some of their yummy food after finally convincing my boss and coworkers to go to Oak Cliff and eat. We walked in and there was BBQ smoke in the air and plates with Pigs butts on them. I soon learned Cliff's Cafe closed. I am so sad, it will be missed! Pros: Wonderful Cafe, Great Unique food Cons: It's closed now more

This place is the bomb!! 9/20/2008

The Cliff serves delicious food. Everything is fresh, unlike some place people wait in line for on McKinney Ave. The staff is friendly. The service is wonderful. I can not complain. The Smoke Salmon Scramble... scrumptious. The Breakfast Quesadilla... delicious! The plate of fruit perfect and fresh. I have reccommended this place to several friends and they rave about the Cliff. You should give it a try! Pros: food, service and price point Cons: nothing! more

The best breakfast in town! 12/12/2007

Fluffy French toast, strong rich coffee, crisp bacon and ice cold fresh fruit. Could you Nice clean, modern, cafe with a San Francisco city feel. Very nicely inside or out on the enclosed patio, and excellent service, The waiter suggested the pancakes as well? go on, give them a try, you may find yourself no longer waiting in line at the Breadwinners on weekends, Pros: Great service, fair pricing, love the enclosed patio away from traffic and open to the sunshine Cons: In an upcoming neighborhood, so try it out. more

The best ribs I have had in the south 10/16/2007

Wow, the ribs were amazing! And the potatoes, and the calamari appetizer and the steak my grandma had. I can?t say enough about this place. They advertise it as a casual affair, but I would say the food quality is less than casual. I NEVER expected my taste buds to explode with flavor like they did when I took my first bite of that rib. WOW. I am going back in the morning to try the omelets????.. Pros: Amazing flavor to the dishes! Cons: parking lot under construction, but they have valet too , you really need to try this place. more

Be prepared to wait... 10/10/2007

I had heard about the Cliff Cafe and was told it was the place to eat. I decided to attend on a Wednesday night about 8:45 for a dinner of eggs and pancakes. I was seated as soon as I walked in the cafe. Upon seating I was attended by a waiter and then he took my order. As I observed, there were six tables which they ranged in size from one six top to 2 two tops. There was a really large party of about 25 people. I was not told at that time I would not be served until the 25 top table was served their food. My order was very simple of eggs and pancakes. I sat patiently and waited...about 9:15 I ask about my order and was told it would be right out, that the 25 top table had to be served first. I waited another 10 minutes before leaving my table without food or any idea from my waiter when my food would arrive. The staff all gave the same excuse of the large table had to be served and they would get to my order after that....Had I been told when I was seated it would be at least 45 minutes until I was served, I would have gladly either waited, knowing I was waiting or just leave and come again another time. I told the staff there was not excuse for a lack of service. Fortunately for their benefit I am not a food critic or someone that would make a difference in the amount of people that may come to their establishment. However I am a customer who deserves the same treatment as anyone else who comes to eat. I was very disappointed and will not attend the establishment again. I found it extremely loud with very few people dining. more
