Christie's is at the corner of McKinney Ave and Allen St in Dallas,TX. At first look Christie's is just like most other sports bars, but try the food and you'll know Christie's is in a league of their own!\r Christie's allows kids during the day. My kids loved the food there.\r The stuffed jalapenos were awesome. They have home cooking- their chicken strips and homemade chips are really good,as well.\r \r more

Great New Menu 10/2/2009

Love the new menu Christie's has. Great choices that are really good. Love the burgers, fish tacos, pork stuffed jalapenos and shrimp garlic pasta. And with the new smoking ban it's not so smoky in there. I also love their new patio. A great place to hang out with friends or watch a game. more

Tuesday nights! 11/11/2008

Great place to go after a kickball game! Lots of people to meet! Fun place! The bartendars were nice even though the place was very crowded. more

Never changes....at least not much 4/22/2008

Christie's has been around forever it seems, and with the new makeover, things have gotten better. The addition of a real grill means hot food! Burgers! Steaks! The addition also means they have to pay for it apparently, so the food seems a little pricey for the neighborhood, not way out of line, but you'll pay more there for a burger than other bars/restaurants in the area. Service is usually outstanding, and friendly, and beer/drink prices are right in line with everyone else in uptown... Pros: Pool tables, and good food Cons: A bit pricey on food, can often be very smoky more

Love this place! 8/30/2007

I've been going to Christies for ten years now and love it! It's the absolute best place to watch a game, especially when they cover the pool tables so you can crawl right up and have a seat. Very cool neighborhood feel to as well though. The ""Cheers"" of Dallas. Even if it's just you a couple friends in there for a mellow time, the bartenders are great and drinks are consistently ""satisfying"". Now that they finally have a grill, we can stop by for a burger at lunch and yes, they have healthy salads too. This is all around one of my favorite spots in Dallas. Keep it up guys! Pros: Atmosphere, tv's, staff Cons: not closer to my house in the burbs. more

Christes Sports Bar new look 8/16/2007

Christies has a new great look! All new floors, surrondings & lighting so it's not so dark. The grill as finally arrived after 16 long years. Great new menu. Great front patio for traffic & people watching. New smoke units for the non-smoker. The Christie family has heard the customers and have tried to do everthing possible for a greater experience. The Big Screens are still the BEST in Uptown and the bar just added a new digital touchtunes jukebox for a much better music selection and great sound Pros: Great overall fun bar Cons: Not more of them more

No burgers in a sports bar? 5/29/2007

Christie's is a classy sports bar in a great location with good food. They have the NFL ticket as well as the March Madness sports package, so you can watch more than one game at a time. The only problem we had was that they do not have a grill for making burgers! We were told that they would eventually have one. The food we had was very good, although the draft beer selection wasn't the best around. Pros: Great sports packages allowing for March Madness and NFL Ticket enjoyment Cons: Expensive for a sports bar. more

Women beware 9/17/2006

Women beware the place is dirty, smoke filled, and grab happy. A little TP would be nice also. If that is what you want than you found it every night of the week. Pros: It closes Cons: it opens again more

good sports bar 3/13/2005

We came here for lunch and the service was nice. I recommend parking around back at the square and walking over. more

Bring a gas mask 1/8/2005

This place is probably the best sports bar in Uptown in terms of the number and locations of televisions. The service is decent, but on big-game days it takes a long time to get a waitress. They have been generally hospitable about putting on games for anyone. The big problem is the smoke. If you don't like cigarette smoke, this is not the place to go. After about 20 minutes, my eyes were burning, and my clothes had to be washed twice to get the smell of smoke out. Pros: Many TVs, Will put on any games, Sometimes crowded more
