Some of the Best Burgers in town 10/25/2010

Hit this place up a few times recently, Awesome Burgers especialy on Mondays when the burgers are half off. The Firehouse burger is great but the must try is the burger with pork BBQ and bacon on it. I didn't say it was healthy but darn good. more

The best Quesadilla's I have ever had 7/10/2008

Very nice atmosphere, [could do without the cigarette smoking though, but that's personal preference]. Quick to be seated even on busy nights. Very accommodating for families with small children and super friendly waitstaff. The first time my family and I went to Champps was late on a Wednesday night [Live music night]. It was fabulous, I am not usually a fan of live music but the man they had, had a GREAT voice making the ambiance wonderful. Huge TV screens all around let any sports fan feel right at home. The food is great I personally can't get enough of their quesadilla's SUPER FLAVORFUL and very fresh tasting, never greasy. My husband is a fan of the Pepperjack Bacon Stack Burger. The only thing I have found odd is my daughter has gotten the chocolate milk there twice and both times thrown up???[She is not lactose intolerant]...I have no idea why she does from their milk but needless to say she gets sprite there now. I would definitely recommend this place to EVERYONE, and if you are a fan of live music check out Wednesday nights. Pros: Great food, Great Music, Sports Fan Heaven Cons: Chocolate Milk Problems?, No desserts that I like more

Great Food, Great Service, Great Atmosphere 8/12/2006

My family has chosen Champps as one of our favorite places to dine. They offer a family-friendly atmosphere that is rare in a sports tavern. The staff readily accomodates our requests to tune one or more of the multitude of TV screens to a preferred sporting event or, for the kids, a particular fun channel. The staff has never failed to greet us with warm smiles. We really feel welcome here. \r \r The menu offers a wide variety to suit our various tastes. Our satisfaction seems to be their top priority. Even to the point of instantly and cheerfully replacing an entree that was a little spicier than we expected. I really appreciate that kind of service.\r \r I see that a previous reviewer has listed Champps as ""Not Kid Friendly"" and have to take that statement to task. I have found Champps to be extremely kid and family friendly. This is especially so on their popular ""Kid's Night"" when families flock in to see the Champps' hilarious magic & balloon entertainer.\r \r I can't think of a better, more comfortable place to kick back with a good meal and watch any major sports or televised event with my friends & family. Highly recommended.\r \r Thank you, Champps! Pros: Every seat in the house is a good seat for viewing top sports and other TV events. Cons: Nonsmokers should ask to be seated well clear of the open bar area. more

Nice atmosphere to watch the game 10/23/2003

I went to champps because I wanted a nice meal plus I wanted to see the hurricanes game in a relaxed atmosphere, and I got both. We tried the cheesesticks for an appetizer, and were pleased when it was a decent portion (8), as opposed to the typical 4-6 fare. I tried the Shanghai Steamer, with excellent jasmine rice, and a nice array of dumplings and mixed vegatables. The other dish was the sirloin steak with lots of extras, mashed potatoes, vegatables, and onion rings (they get thumbs up for that) Almost the entire restaurant is good for watching the numerous tvs, for some seats it can be awkward to watch particular games or shows, but for the most part, a tv is accessible. Good restaurant, good sports bar atmosphere w/o the drunks! Pros: Spacious, Clean more
