I arrived for my 1:30 appointment at 1:20 to fill out new patient paperwork. The forms were completed and turned into the receptionist by 1:35. However, by 2 PM, I still hadn't been called in! When I asked the receptionist how much longer it would be, she responded that she was glad that I had approached her because she needed a general medical release form from my treating medical physician; and that I couldn't be called back until that form arrived. However, I wasn't aware of this and no one had made any attempt to contact the physician! So I called and had the form faxed over. I was called in at 2:10 PM. Once seated in the examination cubicle (there aren't walls separating patients, only dividers so there's not much patient privacy), the assistant clipped the bib on me and told me that the doctor would be in shortly. About five minutes later, a man walked in quietly and I only noticed him behind me because I heard the snap of the gloves coming on! He proceeded to recline my seat (without any warning) and said ""Let's take a look. Nothing's bothering you, right?"" to which I responded, ""Are you the doctor?"" because he NEVER even introduced himself. And at that time, he didn't apologize for not introducing himself-- he merely nodded and then told me to ""open up."" He poked around for less than 2 minutes, said that I needed a release form from my doctor (which I informed him had been sent over) and that I would need Xrays. He then left. A few minutes later, another woman came in and began to take off my bib, saying that she would help me make another appointment! I asked her why I couldn't get the cleaning done today-- no hygienist on staff today! No one told me that when I made the appointment! How do they expect working people to keep taking days off?!
