Finding a salon that has really good mens cuts as well as womens is really hard to find these days. However, I have been seeing Nicole for a couple months now and she does a fantastic job. I am a busy mom of 4 and always on the go. Too bad that means that my hair has taken a backseat for the past couple of years. Thanks to Noah I have this great, modern new look and I feel GORGEOUS! He gave me this beautiful new color and a cut that isn't too high maintenance (it only takes 5 minutes to style in the morning!) It's perfect and doesn't interfere with my morning routine. I totally came into the salon and I was up for a new look. I wanted more of the Cali surfer look but I didn't want it too be too complicated 'cause I like to surf a lot and I didn't want it getting messed up. I always have a rough time finding a place to get my hair cut that is good with mens hair but at the same time, affordable. I saw Nicole a couple weeks ago and she did a great job. I have been seeing Noah since he has been at the salon and he does an extraordinary job on my hair. Last week I brought in my mother (age 76) and she was greeted warmly and was able to get in right away with Jeanett. Not only did Jeanett put up with every tedious request of my mother she treated her with the utmost respect. My mother left with a wonderful haircut and a great experience. Thanks Jeanett! Sharron did an awesome job with my new hair color! I had dyed my own hair out of the box at home and it turned into a disaster, I was positive it was beyond repair. When I want a cutting edge, or classic look, or just some color, I wouldn't choose anyone else but my favorite stylist Dave F. @ Carlton Hair International. I've worked with him on many occasions, such as photo shoots, and fashion shows as a model. He is always very professional, funny, and at the same time warm and friendly. He always goes above and beyond my standards and keeps me coming back for more! My hair always looks just how I want it to, and I am very excited to see him again! Taking a chance on a new salon and stylist is always scary.... Especially when you have the "awkward length" curly hair that you take a flat iron to every day... I was pleasantly surprised when styist Dave F. met me at the front of the salon and escorted me back to his station--where he listened intently as I described my vision for my hair cut/blow dry. Needless to say, I was not surprised to see all of Dave's rave reviews as I signed on to city search... If you do decide to visit Dave, I have no doubt that you will find him to be just as patient, incredibly friendly, detailed and truly focused on your hair as he was for me. Dave F. at Carlton hair always does a fantastic job with my hard to manage mop! I am as throughly impressed with his hair cutting and styling as I am with the fact that he is personable yet not pretentious. I also love that Carlton is convieniently located in the Beverly center. Dave really takes his time with me and listens. I recommend him to all my friends that compliment my hair. There is a shortage of stylists in this town that are down to Earth and Dave is talented and real. Keep up the good work Dave, Carlton is lucky to have you! more

I definitely recommend Dave at Carlton Hair. I've been trying to grow out my very short hair over the past year and a half, and he's helped me keep it looking great even through the awkward stages! He really takes the time to figure out the best cut and style for each individual. more

I just got my hair cut by Dave at Carlton International Hair in the Beverly Center. I don?t write these reviews often, but I have to say I was really impressed. My hair freakin rocks now. I came in with boring hair and wanted something more stylish while still looking masculine. Dave listened to what I wanted and delivered. I was a little hesitant about him putting a chemical relaxer on my out of control hair, but it looks really awesome, edgy and funky now. It?s even easy to style. He taught me how to flat iron my own hair so I can recreate what he did at home. The products he recommended work exactly like he said they would. The experience was great. Dave is a cool tattooed rocker dude. He was comfortable to be around and made me laugh a lot. Rock on Dave! I?ll definitely be back. Oh yeah, the receptionist up front Chelsa was one of the most helpful, friendly and courteous that I?ve ever encountered in a salon. No stuffiness at Carltons!!! Love it! more

I have to second the rave review for Dave Faunce. He is so precise with his work and wants nothing more than to please you. He listens to everything you say, is an expert on color and is just a joy to be around. I also have to compliment the salon as a whole because they hire very professional stylists and create an environment that you really want to be in. I leave happy and beautiful every time! I was really annoyed with the salon that I had gone to and after several attempts to reschedule at the other salon, and several accidental hang ups (no excuse) I decided to go to Carlton. I'd gone there years ago and had a pretty good experience. When I walked into Carlton, I looked like I was ready to pick the kids up at school which isn't bad but I feel hip, and young inside and I want it to show. When I walked out, I looked like a hip blonde with an edgy vidal esque haircut, fitting to my lifestyle and age. I'm single..I'm not ready to look like someone's mom...maybe in a few years, but now I want to be the rocker. Dave Faunce was absolutely meticulous and precise. He took the amount of time and focus I would only hope to get from a stylist. He was conversational and when I didn't love something, he made it work without making me feel guilty. Noah the manager should be really happy about the way people are treated there. Despite the fact that Dave was running late, I hung out for a bit in the mall, and they were really nice and accomodating when I came back. I give the salon five stars because the quality of Dave's work, the way he works with you, and the overall feeling I got when I left which was ecstatic. There are no cons to the service. Some salons could use a lesson in customer service. Dave really made me feel like the Diva I am. Also the price was incredible. For the amount of work done and for what I was charged, it made things even more exceptional. When you can walk away under $200 and have color correction, I think that's amazing, especially in LA. My experience at this salon was the worst I have ever had at a salon. Extremely rude service! They made an appointment for me when no one was available and did not call to tell me not to come. Ok I just moved to L.A. and I thought this might be a good place to have a hair cut. Well I thought wrong. First the staff are extremely rude, they will try to sell you everything and even stuff you dont need. The lady who cut my hair didn't even know what she was doing. It was like crap. I had blonde highlights and she completely messed up my hair and had to darken my hair cause it was literally bleached. Moreover, she even charged me for it. This place is also extremely over priced; just cause they are at the Beverly Center you pay a lot of money. Horrible atmosphere, you don't get any privacy and when you make an appointment they dont even honor it. Horrible place. Please do yourself a favor and consider some other place.
