Noah gave me this great new color that looks natural and covers all my grays. I usually get highlights and he recommended a demi-permanent all over color which worked out really well! It was nice of him to recommend it especially because it was significantly cheaper, and it looks awesome. Pros: Cost efficient Cons: none more

Sharon does a great job on my haircuts. She always pays attention to the small details that really pull the look together. I am impressed by her knowledge of what looks good and also her knowledge of the products. Its nice because I tell her the look I am trying to achieve, she cuts my hair to get me to that look and then informs me about what products I can use to keep up with and enhance the look. She is wonderful. Pros: Great product knowledge more

From Red to Brown 11/28/2008

I dyed my hair red from a box dye about a year ago. Since then no matter how many times I try to get rid of the remaining red tint, I couldn't. I thought my hair was doomed to be a faded red forever, until I went to Carlton. I have been seeing Joanna for about 4 months now and my hair has never been so brown. I LOVE it! Ethnic hair: No problem! 11/28/2008

I have very coarse african american hair and it is hard to tame! After a relaxer and deep conditioning treatment with Nicole my hair felt like silk and looked beautiful. I never thought that my hair could feel like that! I was starting to get worried that no salon would be able to manage my hair, I am thankful I cam across Carlton- they've found themselves a new longtime client! Thanks guys! Great with mens hair 11/28/2008

I am excited that I finally found a salon that understands the concept of "not too short, and not too long" Jeanett really made sure how I wanted my hair to look before she took the razor to it. I was pumped after I got my haircut at Carlton. Like usually I don't want my hair to look like I tried too hard or like its too girly so I was pumped when Noah cut it into this sweet modern shag cut. Locks of Love 11/28/2008

This was the first time I had cut my hair in 2 years-- needless to say I was a wreck. I have long fine hair that has never been chemically treated but it was just getting too long so I had to let go. When my stylist informed me that the amount of hair we were cutting off was enough to donate to Locks of Love I was thrilled. It took a lot of the hype away from the cut itself (which I ended up loving) and helped me focus more for what I was doing for someone else. I was so glad she brought it up! Thanks Nicole! Damage: Controlled! 11/28/2008

My 7 year old daughter decided to give herself a haircut. In a panic I brought her to Carlton Salon and was relieved when they told me it could be fixed. 45 minutes and about 25$ later my daughter walked out of the salon looking cute as ever. Her hair was fixed and it looked beautiful! They managed to salvage what she had cut on her own by making creative layers throughout her hair, which at the same time maintained most of the length. Great Products! 11/28/2008

I hate spending money at salons on products that are overpriced and I don't even know what they are used for. I was pleasantly surprised when a staff member at Carlton explained to me why certain products would be beneficial for my hair, why others wouldn't and how I would go about using them. I was completely surprised by their knowledge! It made me feel a lot more comfortable spending the money I did on those products because I know they're worth it. Thanks! Pros: Knowledgeable Staff!! Amazing staff 11/28/2008

This may not seem like a big deal to some but I am Jewish and I can't stand it when someone offers a "Merry Christmas" around the holidays. As I was exiting the salon the receptionist offered "happy holidays" instead. It was the first time I had heard that in a while and I was very pleased. The staff at Carlton are an amazing group! Not only do they know their way with hair, but with the various holidays as well. Pros: Great atmosphere Cons: nothing to complain about! more

After reading my share of reviews about this salon I decided to give it a shot and am I ever glad I did. Terry gave me the greatest haircut ever. I like that they don't try to rush the appointment and they spend a lot of time focusing on the customer. It was a very pleasant experience and I am sure I will be back soon. Great cut and color 11/28/2008

I came into the salon with a picture of what I wanted done to my hair. The cut was drastic considering what my hair was beforehand and the color job was an intricate one. I was a little nervous about the outcome but when Sharon was finished I was ecstatic! Not only did my hair look like the picture, it looked BETTER than the picture! I have recommended Carlton to my friends and even my mom, all say their experience at the salon was a memorable one! Pros: Great attention to detail Cons: none come to mind more

I love to change up my hair all the time, and Carlton is the perfect place for that! Not only are their prices affordable but their staff is very knowledgeable when it comes to the "do's" and "dont's" of hair. They let me know what highlight looks good with certain low lights and what specific colors will bring out my features and my haircuts. I learn something new with every visit! I was skeptical about trying a new salon but I am so glad I found Carlton. The service is excellent and everyone always has a smile on their face. The employees will go above and beyond for their clients! All the stylists are great but I personally recommend Nicole or Jeanette for mens hair, they do a great job. great place for bridal parties! 11/28/2008

I came to Carlton with my bridal party the day of my wedding. The staff was extremely friendly and did their part to take the stress off of the wedding day-- it was like a mini vacation! Joanna did a wonderful job on my hair and it was highly complimented throughout the day. She was able to look at a photo I brought in and replicate it with ease. It was perfect, and I couldn't of asked for a better experience! Pros: Inviting atmosphere, relaxing experience Cons: none more

the perfect gift 11/28/2008

I have not personally had an experience at the salon but my girlfriend has. Last month I got her a gift certificate for her birthday (keep in mind she hates getting her hair done because she can never find someone to do it just the way she likes) and I was a little nervous as she left the apartment that day. When she came home she looked radiant. She was grinning from ear to ear. She told me about the wonderful customer service she had and how her stylist was personable and eager to do a great job. Not only has she found a new salon but she has a newfound attitude when it comes to getting her hair done. Pros: awesome staff Cons: no complaints more
