Ive gone to Canyon Cafe a dozen times and have always left 100% satisfied. The service is always wonderful and enjoy the rustic and woodsy environment. I love their food, its spic...

This is located in the Galleria area. Having frequented the area it looked like a neat place to try, and when we looked it up on our phone, it was tagged with ""vegetarian"" so we...

A Great Value 6/17/2003

I love this place. My fiance and I have visited about 4 or 5 times and we both love the Canyon Carne Asada and Hannah's Roasted Chicken with BBQ sauce. My personal favorite though is the pecan crusted Salmon. It is served on a bed of spinach and creamy mashed sweet potatoes...a very unusual but tasty combination. If you eat dessert, try the bunuelos...a crispy cinnamon-sugar tortilla served warmed with cinnamon ice cream and caramel sauce....delicious! You get a lot for your money here. Pros: Service, Bunuelos, Value more

Try the Santa Fe Chicken 5/12/2003

We had dinner here early on a Saturday evening and it was so nice to just walk into a restaurant in this busy part of town. Our server was excellent. I wish I could remember his name as I would recommend you ask for him. Try the Santa Fe Stuffed Chicken Breast. Very different and very good. The prices are reasonable and the margaritas are perfect. Pros: Excellent service, Accommodating Cons: Stairs more

Lici's Chocolate Tamale 1/3/2003

I and my friend Lici went there for lunch on 1/03/03 and I will have to say the service was as lovely as my company (Lici). The breadsticks were great, although the dipping sauce could have used a little punch. We had the Chicken Enchiladas, which are only on the lunch menu, and they were great. If you like trendy upscale eating in a casual enviroment then I would recommend a visit! Plus you get a free white chocolate tamale after you pay your bill. Whoo Hoo Cheers, Vinny from the Block! Pros: Good Service, Presentation, Dessert Cons: Parking, busy location more

My favorite restaurant 12/13/2002

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The bread sticks are delicious, and I would highly recommend the crab cakes. They're the best in town. However, I ordered chicken pasta once, and it was very bland. That's the only thing I've ordered that I didn't love. You also get a complimentary white chocolate tamale for dessert... heavenly. more

Flavorful 8/10/2002

A creative and delighting menu, with lots to choose from. The service was excellent. Our party consisted of five people, and two of the orders were wrong, and our waiter was so nice in helping us get our food. The stuffed santa fe chicken is to die for. A must try. more

Two Thumbs Up for Great Service! 7/4/2002

The most courteous and professional service I have received at any of Houston's many restaurants. They were accommodating on making changes to the order, and offered alternatives to the menu. The waiter removed our plates at the same time, when we were both finished (which is a practice not used by most restaurants down here). The manager even brought us a gift certificate, as one of the entrees' was a little spicier then expected. This was probably the best dining experience I have had since moving to Houston. Pros: Excellent Service, Good Location more
