Bonnie & Clyde's Cb & Stereo

I did my research on the web and had a clear idea of what I wanted. Mazin LISTENED to me, and we quickly worked our way thru the replacement of the factory install of my in dash, CD radio, and crappy old speakers. Mazin's suggestions were totally BUCK, this guy knows his stuff, and its obvious why B&C Stereo have been so successful for over 25 years. We agreed to install an Alpine in dash unit with Pandora, amplifier, Kicker speakers front and back, and a boxed Sub woofer in the trunk. And while I was there, we improved my tint with 20% tint. The guys in the INSTALL group were OFF THE CHART perfect. To let you know how impressed I was, they took the CD out of my factory in dash unit, put it in the new Alpine, everything inside was done with the utmost care and professionalism and I could not be happier. They even set the time on my Alpine. Who does this kind of proper customer service now? People who are at the top of their game and take pride in what they do! That's who! Have a clear goal in mind and they listen to you and make that reality. The tint guys are amazing artists! there is no two ways around that. Don't be stupid and rush them, leave them your car and let them shine for you and return later that day to the best system you had envisioned. They make your dreams come true. 25 years in the business of customizing Dallas sound machines is perfectly clear when you pick up your ride and drive by the big box stores or the fly by night dealers who come and go. This is the kind of service that father's take their son's and daughters to have their cars done. My husband and I just bought a 2007 Hummer H2 (got a killer deal) and decided to spend the left over money on our sound system. We wanted to get a good deal, but didnt want to compromise the quality of work on our new baby! We called Car Toys in Mckinney, Outrageous budget needed!! We tried a couple of people from Craigslist but didnt want to go and get work done in a parking lot somewhere in the middle of nowhere either, so we came accross Bonnie and Clyde Stereo (catchy name, my grandpa had a relation to clyde barrow) anyway, we ended up driving down to Dallas, Harry Hines and these guys were Professional! The Salesperson was Knowledgable and gave us great advice, and most important saved $$$$. We got a Viper Smart Start Alarm (alarm from iPhone, and remote start for the kids in winter), GPS navigation by JVC...cool unit, and dynomat sound insulation in all the doors, new alpine doors speakers, and a alpine sub in a probox. Sounds BAD A$$!!! i feel like im in a sound studio, the doors are sealed off like a rock, and the install took forever, but what do you expect? Good work takes Time. I reccomeend that you get car dropped off, but we had to wait because we had no choice, the staff was friendly, they bought us lunch from Mama's diner.. Im definitly going back and will refer my family and friends to this spot. I also learned they have been in business since 1977. I was amazed to here that someone could be at the same location for all these years, they seemed busy while sitting in the store (guess thats a good sign) Ask for Mason or dave (very nice) more

By Far the BEST in the Dallas area!! I have used several installers before and the people at Bonnie and Clyde surpassed everybody else. I had used high end shops and private installer off Craigslist and Bonnie and Clyde falls somwhere in the middle. They do not charge you the exorbidant Car Toys, Best Buy price but lot less and are much more knowledgeable. I used them for the first time to install my in-dash nav and speakers. My factory radio and the speaker were a piece of junk. so, after suffering for 2 years, I decided to give myself a nice little present to: improve the sound of my Rav4. Naïve as I was I did what probably many inexperienced people do bought the most expensive nav receiver and speakers over my budget allowed. After the insall I prepared to bask in the waves of acoustical heaven. Yeah, right. It sounded even worse. The powerful woofers shook the doors and trim panels into a cacophony of rattle, shake, buzz and resonance. Damn it, I blew big $s, and the sound was so-o-o horrible, it was even worse than the original factory system. Mazine at BNC advised me of the acoustics of my car even before we started. I did not trust him and bit the bullet and did the install. I started reading and got lot of information at www.Caraudioforum.cm and www.diymobileaudio.cm/forum/ . After I realized my cars acoustics had to be addressed cosulted Zeb and he suggested to sound dampen the doors using Dynamat and gave me a good package deal since I already spent a whole lot and did not gain anything. Raul installed the Dynamat on all four doors and I watched the whole thing and he did an excellent job. The result is just unbelievable! I've never heard a car audio system sound this great. The difference is night and day. BNC turned my tin box into a concert hall. Highly recommend these guys and I will recommend all my friends to check them out. Also while waiting for my car I saw they did awesome jobs with windows tinting and car alarms. If you are in the market for any car audio, alarm or tinting, you should check them out. more

I emailed a request to see if they had a certain type of antennae kit for a CB radio. I included a link to all the various parts and part numbers. It was easier than trying to explain it over the phone. After 4 hours, I called and spoke to some guy who never gave his name. He told me to come to the shop. I advised him that I need to know if he carried what I was looking for first, because it is not convenient to get to his shop. I mentioned the email I sent. He told me the main email address was "being worked on" and that no one got that email. I asked for another email to send it to. He gave me his personal email and told me he would get back to me. All the while he is using slang and calling me buddy. After another 2 hours, I called back and another clueless dude answered. He put no-name slang-man back on the phone. He assured me he would answer my email and that he was just busy today. The day ended with no return email. I had mentioned that I wanted to get the CB installed as well as buy the antennae kit. Potentially, he could have made at least $200 off of my visit, but he'd rather jerk around and not reply to customer inquiries. They are unprofessional and don't sound like they know what they are doing. And who let's their main email address go unanswered? more

I bought an remote start alarm system off of amazon and called in to ask if they could install it in my car. They said they could and it would cost $70. Went and visited the shop the price went up to $150 because of the bypass module. (the module itself costs $40). Decided to go ahead with the install they said it would take about 1.5 hours. 3.5 hours later they said they were done with my car, the remote start worked and so did the alarm. HOWEVER during the installation Bonnie and Clyde's managed to disable my cruise control, and my check engine light is on due to wiring issue (checked at Toyota dealership). I went back to the shop hoping they could fix what problems they caused, the owner charged me $30 to get someone to look at my car told me it would be done in 30 minutes, took another 2 hours. AND THEY DIDN'T FIX ANYTHING. So no my check engine light is permanently on, and my cruise control doesn't work. Ask everything very specifically and detailed if you are going to get anything done from them. Would not recommend from my personal experience, even though the prices are cheap they are nice guys though. more

I've been going to these people for years, great shop, great crew and excellent work quality, Just recenty got an alarm by Viper installed here and it saved my butt from a big Stereo sysetem loss. The viper 5901 WAS quick and responsive. Recessions sucks, but got to protect your investment with an alarm these days! Highly reccomend this place, the skinny dude Moe was nice!! more

Pretty good variety of electronics for cars, and dependable work. sometimes you feel worried going to places like Harry Hines, but these guys have been there forever! (and harry hines is much nicer these days) My uncle used to take me there when I was a kid.....still there. The service is a direct, personal level that you expect from a Mom-Pop shop. They beat the prices on a Viper alarm we were shopping for, and also did a great soder job. We went to places like Car Toys, Best buy, JR's, and they seem to beat their competitors pricing as well as meet the standards of quality work. All my buddys go there and I will reccomend the shop to any one. FYI.....drop your car off for better work (so they dont rush the jop) and if you do wait on your car bring an iPad of lap top computer. They got FREE WiFi , and the owner offers people free pizza if you have to wait more than 2 hours. For the Viper Alarm part works great and has already saved me a break in, Two weeks since i Installed the alarm, and they already tried breaking in and scared them away. Which is one of the main reasons why i remembered to write this review!! ask for the skinny dude named Moe. more

These are window tint professionals. They take pride in their work. I got 5% (limo tint) on the back windows/sunroof and 35% on the front including windshield visor strip (highly recommended especially if you're like me and forget your sunglasses). It looks sooooo good. They pay attention to all the details. Super clean install. I couldn't find one flaw. I feel like I'm driving around in a new car. The prices are very reasonable (cheaper than I expected). I highly recommend Dallas Window Tint. You will NOT be disappointed. I heard about Bonnie and Clyde's after having issues getting a sub hooked up at car toys. After several issues I finally gave everything back and a friend of mine told me about Bonnie & Clyde's. When I walked in the door I was greeted warmly and asked what I was looking for. I told them I wanted a subwoofer, and mentioned the one I had before. They showed me several options, and wound up getting me a better subwoofer/amp combo for cheaper than car toys was charging me for the first one. I waited while the car was worked on (watching TV in the lobby) and I was so excited when they finished. The bass hits hard and clean, better than any experience I've had on my previous vehicles. I liked the service/prices at Bonnie and Clyde's so much that I ended up going back to get a full system done, including an aftermarket touch screen DVD head unit, door speakers with amp, and even a rear view camera. I've had no problems with the system to date, except for when I blew a fuse but they quickly replaced it no questions asked. If you are getting anything done for your vehicle as far as car stereos, alarms, and other accessories go take it to Bonnie and Clyde's, you'll save a lot of money and won't be disappointed. I went to get a Viper 5901 alarm installed in two cars. After spending $2350 on two alarms and having two cars there for two full days each, my alarms still were not installed properly. I had a windows module to roll up the windows installed, and my windows actually roll down when I set the alarm. I can bang on the windows on both cars and the alarm does not even give a warning chirp. I can hit my keys against the windows and the glass break sensor does not go off like it should. My alarm does not go off when the trunk or hood is opened. I had to take it to another shop to see what was wrong. They looked at the alarm and none of the wires are soldered... just taped together with butt connectors. It is going to cost me an extra $300 per car to get these fixed. Stay far, far away from Bonnie and Clyde. I initially went there because of their good reviews... but look at the dates... they are all grouped together... clearly a sign of a business who has paid for reviews. One guy that works there is cool... his name is 'AK'. The other brother ''Masen' or something is the one that actually runs the show and is about the shadiest person I have ever come across. Well my experience with bonnie & cylde's has been great !!! At first i was very nervous trying out new store's i have never visited , but so far this store has been pretty good at taking care of my needs even tho I am very picky of who touch's my cars or boat just because they been such a hugh investment over there years, This company and there employee's are very careful installing and preparing my car every single time i go. The salesman are very friendly and clean cut . I cant wait till I go back to go Christmas shopping there cause they had a very nice police radar i wanted to get for my father for christmas and a GPS unit for my mother . My husband has been shopping at this store since the 80's. He used to get a lot of CB radio equipment when he was truck driving. Now we have 5 kids, no time to enjoy time together with kids in the back of our SUV driving to family during the holidays. We went to B&C for a Rear Flip down T.V/DVD monitor purchase and install. The Big Mexican guy was funny and friendly. He made the kids feel at home. These guys had a great variety of choices, colors ( to match our interior color) in many brands. They took their time doing a Neat job and we picked up the vehicle after a couple of hours. (recommend always drop off car, don't rush them b/c rushing the job is never a quality job, anywhere you go!!) We now have rear entertainment for the kids and we had fun driving to Moms house in Arkansas. Did not even notice the kids in the back seat because they were so occupied with the movie playing. P.S. I took my Acura TL to Bonnie & Clyde Stereo and they did me right! I walked in with a couple of other quotes for a full Navigation Radio, and all new speakers, and new amps, subs, custom box, window tint, etc. The Salesman in the front, apparently the owner was very nice, informitive, and beat everyones price. Nothing better than that during tough economic times. I went to Car Toys and the beat their prices with no problem, and I got the same if not better quality work. The Alpine Head unit, all Alpine amps, Speakers and subs sounded clean. Wires were tucked away and hidden. The custom fiber glass box had my daughters name in it with cool neon lighs around it. (very creative installer). I picked up the car it was sounding clean, no mess on the seats from working, and most importantly a "thank you for your business attitude by the whole crew. Its family owned and operated so they all pull through to make the customers feel Happy and comfortable shopping. GOING BACK FOR X-MAS SHOPPING SOON!!!!!! I started by having my personal cars done here and since then i have been back 5 time with company trucks to be done. Mazin and his staff are excellent in what they do there customers.I recommend them to everyone that ask "who did your tint" ... Pros: experienced tint artist Cons: none what so ever more
