Staff tries but needs training and experience 11/6/2010

First time here, was with a group of about 20. We reserved a room for 6 but a few people from another group were still watching a game in that same room where their team was behind by about 30 points. Poor planning by Blinco's, manager admitted they usually double book. Our group had to wait almost two hours for the other group to vacate the room we had already booked. This is totally unacceptable and really stupid business practice as the other group had long past stopped ordering anything. Blinco's could have provided some appetizers or drinks for our group in consideration - they eventually did a little while before we got to the room - a single pitcher for 20 people and only after I suggested it. Pretty clueless. It didn't get much better. Staff tried but they did not have enough people to assist and it took at least another 45 minutes to take our orders. On top of it all, they still charged the mandatory 20% group gratuity!! How pathetic can you get? more

Great food and beer selection, great place to watch a game 5/8/2010

Best wings in Raleigh, HD TVs all over restaurant and bar. Pros: Lots of HD TVs everywhere Cons: none that I can think of more

Decent but it has some flaws. 3/22/2009

Blincos moved a few years ago from Quail Corners. It is not near as good as the old place but not that bad either. The food is pricey unless you get the lunch specials. The bar staff- whew -are not attractive at all. Hire some pretty college girls and have some decent beer specials. Last time i was in there for lunch the place was almost deserted. I had a chicken sandwich and a tea and it was $10! Pros: Roomy great darts Cons: food homely bar staff more

Great service, menu too pricey 2/2/2009

Blinco's is a good place to watch a game although the crowd skews towards the elderly side so it's not the most exciting place to see college sports unless that is your scene. The TVs around at the bar are getting outdated and it is really smokey in the bar area, too. I have been really disappointed in the price increases on the food. I mean $8.50 for a plain burger, $9.50 for one with bleu cheese on it? I normally get hungry while I'm there but will wait to go to Quizno's to eat after I leave. The staff is top notch, though, and really make it worth while. They are usually busy, especially on game days and Friday and Saturday nights so they are doing something right for sure. more

Horrible Food, Good Service & Atmosphere 12/2/2007

The atmosphere and service were good, But the food was horrible! We were highly disappointed with Blinco's. Pros: Service Cons: Food more

Friendliest wait staff 9/5/2006

This is the place to go for low-key good fun. There are a lot of good things about the place, but the best is their wait staff - all the waitresses, bartenders and managers are friendly and on top of things. They create an atmosphere that's almost like being at a friend's place - but with better food, bigger tv's and hotter chicks. Pros: friendly waitresses, lots of tv's, relatively clean bathrooms Cons: pool tables are a little small more

Great Atmosphere 12/19/2004

Blinco's is relaxing and you are sure to see somebody you know in there. Their loyal customers continue to come back. The food is good and the people are fun! Pros: Fun, Fun, Fun more

Blinco's Norm! 11/23/2004

Servers are HOTT! Beers are always easy to get. NO WAITING! TV's Everywhere. Pool tournaments on thursday nights. You never know when a limo full of stripers might come by...lol! Pros: Good Parking, Quick service, Humor Cons: , None, None more

fun 3/8/2004

Four dart boards, a few pool tables. The service was a bit slow, but we did have a large group. The beer selection was good and they had wine and liquor as well. The food was good and the menu pretty extensive, if mostly American. more

good place to watch football 1/6/2003

Lot of TVs, lots of football/hockey...you name it. Convenient location in N. Raleigh....good service...decent food. And it's not a yuppie/trendy bar. Pros: food, price, TVs for every game! Cons: smokey more

Blinco's 11/29/2002

Very good for watching football.....Best place in North Raleigh by far......Good food, reasonably priced Cons: all guys more

The best sports bar and crowd in Raleigh 8/21/2002

Blinko's is by far the best bar in Raleigh. It's a great place where you don't have to get all dressed up to have a great time like that place down the street on Millbrook and Old Waker Forest. The waitresses are great people and the bartenders and managers always take care of their customers. more

Does ANYone Dislike This Place? 7/31/2002

I sure like it, everytime I've gone I've had a good time and the wings are almost as good as Applebees for getting closest to what I'm used to having grown up in Upstate NY (Syracuse). more

True sports bar 6/1/2002

Great place for NC State fans, Hurricanes fans, and NFL in general. They do a great job with the TV's. You'll see a lot of fantasy football fans there. Food and service are not bad. Crowded, but that's generally good during a good game. more

  • In Short
Connectivity is the word here: this high-energy sports bar offers plenty of satellite feeds, cable and Wi-Fi. With a full menu of traditional appetizers-buffalo wings, quesadillas and onion rings-along with entrée-sized meals, you won't go hungry either. And unlike most sports bars, Blinco's offers both a smoking and a separate non-smoking section that holds multiple widescreens.
