Thank you Alexis for doing such a wonderful cut on my Scottie. Since my groomer closed last year, I have had such a hard time finding a groomer. Thrilled with his new doo.

Be careful of this shop unless you don't mind your pet being cut and the injury covered up and denied. I wish we had read the reviews here and on Google reviews before bringing...

Grooming my Scottie 7/13/2017

Fantastic cats and dog 2/3/2015

I have been going to Best Friends for a few years and Alexa has always taken great care with my cats and dog. My cats come home clean from their baths and shaved down to alleviate my allergies and they are so fun to pet when they have short hair. The lions main is cute but I prefer a clean all around cut and that is what she gives me. My dog is always clean and happy when I pick him up and I love the way she clips his nails and cleans up his foot hair. He looks so handsome! They are reliable and easy to get into with usually a few days advanced appointment booking. more

My little buddy goes the the groomer happily 8/18/2014

My little buddy hates going to the vet but loves going to the groomer, I dont know if its their friendly demeanor or stellar service but he always comes home looking and smelling amazing with a little pep in his step. I wont take my little buddy anywhere else and would recommend my friends and family to try best friends grooming salon. more

Mutilation and cover-up 5/20/2012

Be careful of this shop unless you don't mind your pet being cut and the injury covered up and denied. I wish we had read the reviews here and on Google reviews before bringing our dog to the store or we would have known the cold, obstinate attitude of Alexa, the owner. Rather than act humanely towards the clients, her m.o. seems to be to deny responsibility for injuries her shop causes and accuse the owners of seeking free services. Yet, she has no solutions as to how to make up for the unneeded suffering from having mutilated her canine clients or their subsequent vet visits. Apparently her business method is based on accusations of the owners rather than providing quality service and having decent morals. more

Excellent & Expert Service... 12/24/2011

Having never owned a long haired cat, I was having challenges with the long hair and sanitary conditions relating to the potty box. A friend referred me to Best Friends and I called them in the AM (the Thursday before Christmas) by the afernoon my little kitty had a shaved bum and clipped nails ... it took less than 5 min no fuss no muss and for such a reasonable price! They were very busy & full up with beautiful animals getting Holiday doos. I am very grateful for the Great Service. So is my kitten. I will recommend Best Friends to everyone. They obviously know what they are doing and believe in customer service. more

Bonnie from Der Pet Haus is working at Best Friends now! 8/22/2011

I just saw on the Best Friends website that Bonnie (she's the best thing that ever happened to Der Pet Haus) is now with this salon. Bonnie has been taking care of my fluffy poodles for 10 years, a perfect cut every time. See you soon Bonnie! Anna G. more

Strongly recommended 1/16/2011

Strongly recommended for nails - I have a chihuahua who *hates* nail clipping and in the past at other salons this has been traumatic for my dog - not so at Best Friends..we arrived as a walk-in with another chi in line ahead of us and so I watched the calm, composed staff take care of two chi's nails - one gently stroked between my little dog's eyes (a calming technique) while the other quickly and expertly took care of all his nails. No whining and no crying. I am so grateful this is close to home - I now will go nowhere else. more

The best 10/13/2010

I have taken my dogs to Best Friends for years, well over 15. I have taken puppies to geriatric dogs and have always had a good experience. I even forgot to pick them up one time and the owners took them home until I could come and get them, how embarrassing is that... I would give them two thumbs up for how they care for animals and also for how good of job they do on grooming... more

Better than the rest 6/3/2010

I've taken my cocker spaniel to several other groomers, including dog spa's in Kirkland and Bellevue. None of those other places came close to how well Best Friends cares for my dog. He is calm, no razor burns or bad nail clips when I pick him up. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Their prices are very competitive, too. My cocker spaniel is fairly "bomb proof"--little kids can pull his ears and he won't bite. Other dog salons said he was a biter, which shocked me. Best friends' groomers all say my dog is very loving and gentle. The difference is in the low pressure atmosphere. They don't overbook and then take their stress out on your dog. Love 'em! more

Good for Nails 12/19/2008

I've been to three places for nail clipping. This is by far the best, my dog is calmest, they do a good job, at half the price. more

Great Salon 2/26/2008

This is a GREAT dog grooming shop. I have been using Best Friends Grooming Salon for over a year. I know the owners very well and they are fantastic people - they take great care of all the dogs. They know most of them by name and love them as though they were their own. A top notch business. more

Best Friends Grooming Bellevue, WA 7/3/2006

I worry about any pets that are taken in to Best Friends Grooming Salon. Last year I decided to try the salon because I'm employed in an office nearby and it was convenient. I left my two small mini schnauzers and the husband and wife that own the salon seemed nice enough. When I returned to pick them up the owner offered to carry them to my car which I thought was unusual. I noticed in the car that one of my dogs had a hemoraged eye socket. I carried him back into the salon and asked the owner what had happened. He said he didn't know that maybe it was an allergy to the shampoo. I took my dog immediately to my vet where I was told that the only way that an eye socket could be damaged to that degree was with blunt trauma and he said my dog had been hit. I took pictures and called the humane society and filed a complaint. I was told that one of their investigators woudl drop by the salon and question the owner. I didn't hear back from the human society but assumed that the visit may have had an impact on the owner. I called the owner and told him what my vet had said. The vet also told me if I wanted to pusue the complaint that he would testify. I called the grooming owner and told him what the vet had said and he still denied knowing about the injury. He was very rude and said that my dogs were difficult to groom and that owners get very upset if they come to pick their dogs up and he couldn't get the job done" and I told him he should have called me to pick them up instead of abusing them. He then said that "in dog grooming - once the dogs realize that ithey are not going to die they settle down and comply" - those were his exact words. If anyone else has had this experience please call the humane society and let them know that my complaint was filed in 2005. In hindsight I think the best action would have been to file a police report for animan cruelty but at the time I was so upset I didn't think about it. I took pictures of the injury and it shows how severe the injury was. The matter around the eyeball was so red and swollen that it protruded out around the eye. The injury healed and my dog has no lasting physical results but the emotional trauma may still be with him. I've taken my dogs to Petco, Petsmart and the grooming salons where the grooming is done within view of the store patrons and even though some of their trims aren't done as well as private salons - I know the chances of them being mistreated are less due to the visibility of the groomers. more
