Best

By far the best breakfast I've had in Houston, maybe ever. You will have to wait, but as mentioned...it's well worth it.

Great breakfast! 5/11/2010

If your a fan of Barnaby's you will no doubt love love love Baby Barnaby's! It is cozy and tucked away in a nice neighborhood in the Montorse area. I was very impressed with the menu selection and the prices were great. $5 will get you an awesome huevos ranchero plate...not just anyone can get huevos rancheros right, but I give them two thumbs way up! I will no doubt be returning. more

Great Breakfast Spot! 5/9/2010

If your a fan of Barnaby's you will love Baby Barnaby's. It is tucked away in a cozy spot in the Montrose area, with outdoor and indoor seating. We sat immediately (I arrived right before the morning rush 10am). Although the location is small and a wait quickly forms outside, it is well worth the wait. I was very impressed with the menu, the selection was awesome. I ordered the huevos rancheros, and I have to say that they were some of the best I've ever had. It was relaxing and the staff was friendly and quick. I am most definitely going to be visiting again soon. Pros: Great breakfast, fast service Cons: You will want to try everything on the menu more

Street corner patio brunching at its best 3/9/2010

This is my boyfriend and I's go-to weekend brunch spot. We always wait extra for a table outside because the inside is far too loud and always share the same dish: the low-fat protein burrito but made with fat (we add cheese and potatoes). Most importantly the waiters do not hesitate to bring us an extra order of the sides (guac, salsas, sour cream). This is a key to our relationship as we have nearly broken up over condiment sharing issues. They serve brunch until two on weekends, which gives me time to get there and sip coffee for a couple hours on the patio without feeling rushed. Serve yourself coffee while you wait and full carafes of water at the table keep you happy. Charming, friendly service, consistently tasty and filling - a true neighborhood gem. Bicycle in to avoid parking hassles. Pros: the low-fat burrito with the fat Cons: you may fight over the potatoes more

Incredible Service! 10/21/2008

this was our first visit to Baby Barnaby's, we frequent Barnaby's(Midtown) often. we did have a wait as we arrived after 12:00 p.m. it was not painful at all, as we quickly poured a cup of coffee and enjoyed the people watching until we were seated.\r \r the service is great and they are very accommodating to any request. my husband ordered the apple pecan pancakes and i ordered the corn beef hash. his serving was easily enough for two(or 3). be aware that they make these as ordered, so there is a wait time you should factor in. definitely worth the wait. my corn beef hash was not what i expected. it was not terrible, however i probably will not order it again. the potatoes were wonderful, but there were so many and the beef was minimal and dry. i wish i would have asked for a detail of this dish as it's not the traditional CBH i was anticipating. \r \r the customer service definitely compensated for any disapppointment otherwise(thanks Jose!). we are already discussing what we will try the next time we visit Baby Barnaby's Pros: Customer Service, Cool Scene Cons: Parking more

Favorite place for breakfast 5/29/2008

I don't know if it's the amazing banana-walnut pancakes or the personalized service, but Baby Barnaby's is the perfect place for a Sunday morning breakfast. Be sure and get there right when it opens or plan on a 15+ minute wait for a table. They have coffee for those waiting. The waiters are very personable and do a great job managing a very busy place. I don't know what else to say except give it a try. Pros: A+ service, pancakes, coffee Cons: There's often a wait, no parking more

Wonderful!! Great Service! 12/27/2006

My husband and I go there frequently for breakfast and have always enjoyed it. The waiters are attentive and always accommodating. The coffee is great and so is the food. I have no complaints about the wait, the service or the food and we go at the most crowded times. Pros: Great food and service Cons: Parking more

I love this place! 12/7/2005

I think its interesting that so many people have complained about the waitstaff here... I have been going tot this place for the last couple of years, fairly regularly, and never noticed a problem. In fact, I find the waitstaff to be particularly accomodating, and though I may have asked for more coffee once or twice, the waiters were always great about it. The food is excellent - I can't think of anything there that I don't like. There is something for everyone! Maybe the trick is to go on weekdays... I have never had to wait very long for a table or for anything else. I wish more people had the same great experience I have come to expect! This is definitely one of my favorite breakfast spots in the entire city! Pros: excellent food, great feel Cons: small, busy on weekends more

BAD BABY BARNABY SERVICE 10/22/2005

At request of my 10year old daughter, we headed to Baby Barnaby's for Sunday breakfast. We went inside to our table and waited and waited and waited...We just wanted a full coffee pot, which is typically on each table. We ordered and then waited and waited and waited..OUR waiter never came back to ask if things or ok, or do you need anymore coffee or anything. I had to ask for more coffee twice...just saying,,he never asked us if we needed anything. After waiting over 30 minutes we got our food. WHICH was excellent. BUT, Expect a serious Wait! The waiters are TERRIBLE. So, guys, if your wondering why no tip, think about it! I do not recommend or intend on returning. I have been to Baby Barnabys many times and the wait staff is getting worse. With all the choices in Houston to eat breakfast. avoid Baby Barnabys! Pros: EXCELLENT FOOD Cons: LONG WAIT, AWFUL WAITERS, OVER CROWDED more

Pancakes for Breakfast New Concept 8/28/2005

Ordering pancakes for breakfast must be new concept They only have one grill. DONT GO HUNGRY. Me and my boyfriend went and its amazing our waitress disappeared in such a tiny place and when she did reappear she was ""really great"" and telling us that because i ordered waffels and he order pancakes it takes a really long time becuz they only have one grill to cook on. Mind you that the table in front of us had people sitting at it when we ordered eating they managed to eat,pay leave and more people come in order( a group of four)and get their food before we were informed about the grill situation and our faux pas of ordering pancakes. I'm pretty easy going dining out. I waited tables, also. There is no excuse for an hr wait for breakfast. when we explained our displeaser the server she simply dismissed us. Pros: creative menu, if u can get it Cons: slow service, no parking, small dining room more

Best Breakfast in Town 3/20/2005

For a great breakfast at an affordable price, I would strongly recommend Baby Barnaby's. There is usually a short wait, but it is worth it. The banana walnut pancakes are my favorite, but everything is very good. Try the green eggs if you want something different or you can stick to the usual eggs with toast and a side of bacon. Pros: Good Ambiance, Innovative food Cons: No designated parking more

NICE PLACE 4/21/2003

Great place to go and just relax. Plenty of variety and friendly people. Will be going back to visit this local establishment Pros: Price, Atmosphere, Friendly Cons: Parking, Location more
