My experience at the Art of Modern Dentistry can be described as comforting. The dentist, from beginning until the end of the appointment, provided a personable approach to examining my past dental records. Also, my operation was done timely upon close review and explanations of results. I understood what needed to be done in order to keep my teeth healthy, proactively and retroactively. I am confident of their opinion and will keep them as my primary dentists. more

When first walk into this dental office the architectural structure alone makes you feel comfortable and enamored. I was pleased with its aesthetics and the welcoming politeness of its staff. I came in for a consultation expecting that I would not be able to be seen until sometime next month, but the dentist saw me that day, with little to no wait. I was then scheduled for an appointment the very next day. I was given an accurate allotment of time to have an exam and be fitted for the Invisalign system. When I came in for my follow up appointment I was once again welcome by a friendly staff. My appointment was rather seamless and I was pleased to know my teeth were still in excellent health. more

I live down the road from this beautiful office. The staff is very helpful and knowledgable. The office itself is beautifully decorated and CLEAN! I am very happy to live down the street from this neighborhood gem. more

I have been afraid of visiting a dentist for quite a long time due to my last root canal at another location. I was nervous about having this procedure done. But I came for a check up and found everyone was really nice and very professional. I came back again and had the first of three procedures. I can honestly say that your the BEST! No pain and Dr. Davenport was excellent. more

I did a lot of work last year (filling, crowing, root canal.. you name it), and today I came in for a regular check up. My overall experience was positive last year, but I had some issues with receptionists. At times, they couldn't answer my questions and messed up my bills. more

My experience at this dentist couldn't have been better. I received nothing but genuine and excellent service from the time I began going here. All the staff is very nice and makes you feel extremely comfortable....especially for someone who usually hates going to the dentist. Sheri Smith at the front desk even made sure to let the rest of the staff know that I had another pressing appointment so I couldn't be late in leaving and they gave me exceptional care in addition to getting me out the door with plenty of time to spare! I was extremely satisfied with the personalized attention I received at the Art of Modern Dentistry. I found the doctors to be not only friendly and knowledgeable, but also very descriptive on the procedures to be performed. I was also impressed with the cleanliness of the clinic and with the technology they use. I had the pleasure to meet Sheri L. Smith who took her time to explain to me in excruciating details everything I asked regarding my benefits. I found her to be customer and service oriented. I have been very pleased so far with my visits to the south loop lacation. Sherri is very helpful and knows her stuff. She was even able to explain to me exactly what tooth was beeing filled when i was not sure of the exact tooth. All cost were explained to me up front and i apperciated that. After living in Europe and South American for several years, I didn't have a dentist in Chicago. In June 2009, I had tremendous pain in my back tooth, my face swelled up- i couldn't eat or sleep without pain killers. At the time I had no dental insurance, my employer only allows employees to sign up once a year- In November- I couldn't wait that long. I googled dentists in Chicago and found one on the Northside who said he would take me without insurance, and give me a good deal if I paid cash. This should have been a huge sign of his shadiness. It took him 5 hours to perform a root canal. It took my face 2 weeks to heal and i was in the hole 1300 cash! In February 2010, that tooth started hurt again- the same unbearable pain. I called up that same dentist and he gave me a BS excuse that it must be the tooth next to it- that i should come in again and we would give me another ?deal.?Heck no! I had dental insurance now so I started looking online in my area- South Loop. I found Art of Modern Dentistry. My sister and I had walked past it a few times and thought it looked too amazing to be a regular dentist office. It looks like a spa. I called them and the super friendly receptionist said she could schedule me for the next morning with the endodonist specialist. They took be right before work, and the amazing Dr. Davenport told me the tooth needed to be retreated. He prescribed me meds for the infection and scheduled me for a week later. I took off a day of work the day of the procedure as I thought it would take 5 hours just like the last guy. It took Dr. Davenport 45 minutes. He numbed the area, cleaned it out... He works with a microscope to ensure accuracy. He is friendly, professional, explains the procedure, asks if I was comfortable- and he's really good looking- so you get a whole lot going on in one visit. Needless to say- an hour later, my face was not swollen, nothing hurt and i could eat. If this was how a root canal was suppose to be- then sign me up! I recently went to Art of Modern Dentistry to have a filling re-done and get a cleaning. Everything seemed simple enough until they required a complete dental examination (which I recently had done and provided to them). They would not accept this and refused to do a cleaning on my teeth. Once they did the exam, they then sat me down in a room and tried to create a long dental plan for me! All I wanted was a scheduled cleaning! I then had them re-do a filling I had, and the problems just got worse. I had extreme pain for the next several days in addition to headaches. I had to go back several times to have them look at it, and it's still a problem! Pros: NIce looking office, sleek design Cons: Try to sell you unnecessary work, expensive, rude more
