I just found myself recommending Apex in another forum, and linking to this site, and realized I should put my recommendation here as well!\r

The first time I was here I was feeling unsure because its not a great part of town, and I had a little trouble understanding what they were saying due to language barriers> Once I got my car back I was completely impressed. They gave me a printout with photos of the work as they had done it (which acted as proof of work actually being performed), as well as gave me follow up information and tips on other things going on with the car with absolutely no hard upsales. They were also proactive in giving me tips and information on things I could do on my own, again, no sales, just friendly, genuine advice. After that I called a few times with questions they were more then happy to answer, and even brought the car back a couple times (per their request to see it) and they looked under the hood/did minor adjustments without even a thought of charging, and told me what to watch for as far as an actual concern. \r

The other part that really impressed me was picking my car up at 11pm. I wasn't picking it up so late because it took him so long (I actually wasnt even expecting it until the next day), but because he stayed that late working on it. It was also a great convenience for someone like me who works late, to be able to pick it up that night. He was still working on other cars when I picked mine up, so I asked him if he preferred working late- you know, coming in late and staying late- and he laughed and said ""oh no, no, of course not, I have been here since 10am (which i knew because thats when i dropped my car off) but people, they need their cars back."" I have never had an experience like that with a car shop, so willing to go above and beyond. Finally, his price quotes are low, and theres no surprises when its time to pay. Great job Apex!
Pros: Expertise, customer service, attention to detail
Cons: Sketchy area of town, not really any comfortable waiting area.
