Awesome stadium 7/5/2011

The AAC is a great place to watch a basketball game. It is not as intimate as some gyms but for professional sports it has some good pricing and good site lines. It also has good food and a fun atmosphere. more

300 level seats are horrible 9/26/2009

The stairs are steep. The seats are crammed in too close. You can't walk to the aisle without feeling like you will topple over. It makes you dizzy and the sound is horrible. more

Some of the seating is worse than coach class! 1/6/2009

I don't know what seats are like on other levels, but don't buy the "terrace level" seats. They're located on the top tier. It was like being crammed into a 3' by 1' box at the Hanoi Hilton. The seats themeselves are very narrow and they're too closely located to the seats in front of you. There is NO leg room. Shame on you whoever had this thing built. The upper deck seating is shameful more

AA center 12/30/2005

I'm sure everyone knows about the American Airlines center. You can't miss it if you drive past downtown. This place is so huge that anyone can get lost in it. Nothing beats watching a Mavericks game inside here. It looks great from both the outside and inside. Anyone who hasn't been yet should go and do so, even if it's not to go watch a game, the actual center is quite entertaining itself. more

Mark Cuban did good. 9/11/2005

Mark Cuban got it right on the button with the new American Airlines Center. This center is top notch. I have attended Dallas Stars and Dallas Mavericks sporting events and had a great time. There is not a bad seat in the house, even at the very top, you still have a good view of what is going down on the floor. I have also attended a concert there and had an amazing time. Everything is always clean when I go and the employees are always courteous, which is not always the case at stadiums. Now if the tickets to the events were more affordable, that would make life perfect. more

A gorgeous new facility! 8/25/2005

My jaw dropped the 1st time I ever entered American Airlines Center for a Dallas Mavericks basketball game. I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. It didnt have the feel of a sports venue at all. We had upper balcony seats and though we were far from the court, I could still see very well. It sure puts the old arena to shame! The food is good, the restroom facilities were clean and I am super impressed with American Airlines Center. A great place for sports, or even a concert! more

Great Sports Venue 8/20/2005

Dallas did it right with the American Airlines Center. This is a beautiful facility that looks fantastic inside and out. And it helps to have two very successful teams competing in the building. I have been to several concerts here, and I have sat in the third deck and still had a great view of everything. For sporting events, all the seats are great. They did a good job of eliminating or really minimizing obstructions from view, which are common in many arenas. The one and only drawback is the area around it, which is now starting to take a little shape. So in due time, this will be a wonderful area. But the arena itself is fantastic! more

Always a great seat 8/1/2005

I like this new building. They did a great job designing it so that all the seats a great. I love watching the Mavericks play here. The nosebleed section is a little high for me, but the seats were still nice and comfortable. I enjoy come here for all types of events and concerts. It is easy to park and get into the building. I think it is very easy to get in and out of. more

AA center 7/31/2005

Where you go to see The Dallas Mavericks play or for a fun game of Arena Football. This is a really classy stadium. Very modern and clean. Great places to eat. The event staff is very friendly and helpful and are out to make sure the kids have a great time. Prices (depending on what event you are seeing) are very reasonable. AA also holds concerts here as well. Fairly large in size. Seating is good. Lots of side events take place where the food courts are. Cartoon characters and other people signing autographs or handing out Mardi gras beads. A fun time for the entire family. more

  • In Short
Built in 2001, the home of the Mavericks and Stars has the appearance and feel of a hi-tech airplane hangar. The red-brick exterior houses a viewer-friendly seating bowl with three main levels. A high-resolution matrix board on the facing of the Platinum level stretches around the arena. An eight-sided digital scoreboard with four high-definition video displays hovers over the arena floor. Championship banners hang from the rafters. Concession areas are plentiful.
