I have gone there 4-5 times because it is very close to my house, but every time I go the service is TERRIBLE. The last time I went the girl behind the counter was rude and unhelpful. I asked her for help finding a part for my bike and she just pointed to the back. To her credit, she was busy reading a magazine. The bike tech was busy, but he asked if I needed help, I told him what I was looking for, and he walked me to the front glass counter where the part was kept, UNDER THE GIRLS ELBOW!! The were out of stock, and the girl handed the tech a catalog, and went back to reading her magazine. He had two customers waiting for him, and she wouldn't help him out. He finally found the part, and she took the catalog from him and told me the part would cost $180 without even checking. The price was not listed in the catalog. I left and bought the part on line for $100. I will never again go to Alki Bike and Board, as this was one of many incidents like this. The bike techs are OK, but the floor staff is AWFUL. They seem to be more concerned with snow boards and roller blades than bikes. As a avid road bike rider, I will take my bike and my business elswhere.
Pros: Bike techs
Cons: Everything else
